I've been busy with finishing my program and such and I honestly forgot the page was still here. I feel awful about it and really am sorry it's gotten neglected so bad.
So... I have reached an impass...
I need a Co-Owner/Co-Administrator to help me revive the page and bring it back to life.

New Year, Let's Regroup... (Plus other stuff)

I first of all want to sincerely apologize... I've been doing a rather cruddy job as an administrator and overseer of this group. Sadly, like all of us, I'm also trying to mix school and leisure together (and so far it's proving a rather interesting predicament).
So this year I hope we can really florish! Here are my plans.
1) We need to get an Administration team together. I will probably be looking for 2 other people to help me run the page. Administration experience is preferred but not required.
2) I heard through the grapevine someone wanted to create a 'Furry Table' at TUC. 8D Excellent suggestion and Idea! If you guys ever want to get this put together... I am in TUC most of the time. You can shoot me a message on FA (I almost ALWAYS have FA up during a school day) and/or ask for a my cell and I can tell you where i am. I am shooting for the tables to be in the atrium vicinity on the 200 Level.
3) This is up to the majority, but... how would you guys feel of trying to get UCFurs to be an actual UC Student Organization? You can say yay or nay, I'm just hatching possible ideas at the moment... but its always good to be curious.
4) One idea that I've had is to have a Furwalk around campus sometime... it may happen this Semester or it may have to be held off till Fall Semester 13'. The debate about this is if UC officials would classify this as 'a movement' which would mean we'd be stuck at the little Triangular shaped patch of grass in McMicken... I'm up for suggestions... or for you all to say 'thats not a bad idea' or 'thats not gonna work'.

6) SW Ohio Furs Meet Next Saturday (JANUARY 26TH). To find out more about this meet, which includes lunch at Steak N' Shake in Western Hills, bowling at Western Bowl, and a Movie down at the AMC Newport... contact

I first of all want to apologize greatly for any delays. = ( I worked all summer at a Job within the University and also at Kings Island on top of it.... so that ate up all my time and concentration.
My goal is to hopefully find a person to Co-Admin for me so then that way this site stays up to date.
It's getting close to the Holiday Season, be on the look out for meets galore!

Slow Quarter to End, Summertime Beginnings and More!

Orionthedragon here. Hopefully the quarter has been treating you all well. This quarter hasn't been too hard, frustrating at times, but not too hard.
As the summer approaches, the number of meets and cons is going to skyrocket. I do not have any official UCFurs meets planned as of yet, seeing as I like to keep the whole SWOhio/Cincinnati area together, so at this point, unless someone wants to create one... we will not be worrying about that ( NekoHaiku takes care of that really well).

= ) First of all, great turnouts coming thanks to those flyers! We recently had
Crimson-Wolf join the group, and I'm already uber excited to see who else will hear about us. However, we've hit a bit of a roadblock.
= ( It appears that UC Grounds has taken all of my flyers down. I looked at my most obvious places (there was a flyer right outside TUC on a Mainstreet sign, and two on the Varsity Village sign near CCM Circle. If they are gone, I'm fearing my canvas in McMicken has been foiled as well. There could be numerous things, but I think I may have possibly figured the base issues out:
1) Sadly, as I've mentioned in the flyers and in previous messages (if I haven't then here it is), UC Furs (or UC Anthropomorphic Society) is NOT yet an official group of The University of Cincinnati. This is soly a non-official group that just happens to be geared for UC Furrys.
2) As most on main campus realize, UC is a huge stickler for policy. I bet 10-1 the reason why the few signs I posted on MainStreet got taken down, was because I didn't clear them with MainStreet Connection, which I find a bit stupid, since I see random signs all the time. Heck! I put 15 flyers up for my church's Easter Service at US Bank Arena, and THOSE are still up! Awkward much?
3) With us not being an official UC group (as in recognized by UC as an actual crew), I had placed it on the flyer saying 'Not yet offiliated with UC Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD)". This too may have been the spine to spike us.
4) ^^; It may have helped if I hadn't used the UC symbol like what we have in the group icon... or at least slap a disclaimer.
Obviously I'm still really new to running a group, but luckily we have enough furs in this group now that it should begin to carry merit by word of mouth. Slowly but surly I may think about recruiting some co-admins to get this group off the ground better. I also wanna hear from our friends in Blue Ash and in Clermont to see about trying to get some satellite groups going if need be, because folks... UC is a HUGE campus complex... there's gotta be more of us out there.
So what's my challenge to you all? Keep it up! Mention to friends of yours that are Furs! Tell them that we are wanting to get up there with OSU, heck... maybe even get them out of the water! >= D I have hope this group can thrive, long after I'm long gone.

Revamping UCFurs, New Logo and Flyers

= \ I know I haven't been updating this site as much as I want to, but to be honest I've been trying to hatch some new ideas to get this group under way... and I think that I have it about seat up. Here's my plan:
Name Addition: UCFurs will remain the name of our FurAffinity account, but the formal name will be The University of Cincinnati Anthropomorphic Society. It will make it a little more appealing to individuals (we will throw the word Furry into the flyer somehow so people know what is what).
I intend to debut the name change on the upcoming fliers.
New Logo: With my newfound knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, I intend to create a new Logo for UC Furs to be used for our logo here on FurAffinity, and on the fliers... that will be posted eventually.
Flyers: = ) After talking to numerous folks on campus, it appears that you are allowed to post items on the boards so long as it's within reason. Looks like that means our flier ideas are a go.
= D I will begin devising a banner idea soon to use for the flyers.

SWOhio_Furs has a meet coming up in the next week, a bowling meet at Western Bowl bowling alley! For those new furs, this is an excellent meet to actually go out and meet some pretty awesome Local furs.
My friend, NekoHaiku is the one putting this whole gig together... so if you have any questions about the meet or getting to it, you can ask me, him or post on the Second Haven page.
This meet will start at the Steak N' Shake just up the road from the alley... followed by two or so hours of bowling. We may even go to a movie after bowling... right now its looking like the Newport AMC Theaters.

My my, the numbers are slowly beginning to trickle in and such. Just last week this was a small idea, and surely enough, we've gotten some more folks on board.
I want to welcome everyone, because you are here... this group is bound for some awesome successes.
The intentions of the University of Cincinnati Furs are pretty straight forward:
1) To allow Furs at UC the ability to mingle with other Furs within the University.
2) To build a Furry presence at UC
3) To just have fun! (No Popufur Antics Here folks!)
Of course the intentions are always up for revision and so forth... I'm just eager as heck to get this group off the ground.

I've been hatching this idea for quite some time and decided to give it a shot. I also thought to myself, "Hey! The Ohio State University has a furpage, why not UC? So I decided to give it a go around.
As you can see on the main page, its kinda bare, but I'm working with several other local furs to hopefully get this off the ground.
Now, you may be wondering, what's in this for you? Well in an effort to save time, I'll keep it short and sweet.
Essentially, I want this group to consist of furs that are actively at UC, planning on attending UC, or those who are Alumni.
