Posted 3 years agoJust wanted to post a quick update, a bunch of unexpected things happened and I ended up needing to be away from my PC more than I anticipated - I'm back home now and I'll be ready to get started back up on commissions tomorrow morning if that's okay with everyone ;o; <3

Small delay on current commissions
Posted 3 years agoHeya, I've had to dog/house-sit last minute and I can't work whilst I'm away from my PC.
The phone version of FA is annoying to sift through and message everyone individually so I'm just doing a quick featured journal and hopefully it reaches the right people ;o;
I've got preliminary sketches for 3/5 of my outstanding commission slots, not fleshed out enough for a WIP, but I know the direction I'm going with them and I'm excited to show off the first progress images as soon as I'm home and I've refined them a tad more ^^
I hope that's alright with everyone, and I'll hopefully have WIP's sent out when I'm back home. I still have my phone so I will be able to still reply to notes if you send any ^^

Half Body Coloured Sketches [Closed]

Gonna keep it brief as I can because I'm very tired and exhausted.
I have some personal stuff going on which requires me to house sit at random and at short notice among other things, and I'm still getting back in the swing of things art-wise, so progress might be slower than it was before (Hopefully not by much ^^;) - but I wanted to try opening for actual commission slots >.<;
With that in mind, I haven't had time to sit down and re-hash my prices and my brain is utter mush at the minute, so for now I'm just going with what I had them at before which was $35, and if you'd rather pay a bit less because it might take a wee bit longer than my usual time-frame from before my break then I completely understand that ;o;

Back again - Going through some life stuff and feeling completely useless/powerless to do literally anything and art is the only thing I'm somewhat not useless at, so here I am.
I'm gonna take it one day at a time and not stress myself out too much this time - Prices will probably be reduced for whenever I do full on commissions - I'm like 2 1/2 years out of practise at this point >.<
And speaking of being out of practise, that brings me to I guess probably the big reason you clicked to read this journal; FREEBIES! :')
I wanna try and get back into the swing of things art wise, it's been a hot minute - So drop your reference sheet below and a theme, and I'll pick a few that inspire me and I'll draw you something :)

I’ve had a lot going on irl lately again, but I just wanted to take the time to address a few things that have been said recently, clarify where I do or don’t stand on certain topics - more specifically the Trans topic.
And hopefully just in general add some context and clarification to the situation.
So first things first - I do not discriminate against anyone.
I will always refer to anyone by their preferred pronouns, I will always immediately apologise and feel horrendously bad if I get someone’s pronouns wrong. It’s basic courtesy.
Regardless of your race, gender, sex, sexuality, whatever. I do not discriminate.
Never have, never will. If you’re a nice person, you’re a nice person.
I am open to talking about anything and everything, and I am ALWAYS open to having my mind changed - So honestly it was a bit disheartening to see people immediately label me as “phobic” without any attempt at a conversation or at gaining further context.
I am not your average Twitter user.
I don’t really like Twitter. Kind of a noob with it tbf.
I’ll use it sporadically - Mostly to follow local trending topics, to learn more about groups of people, to look at multiple peoples thoughts and opinions. I use it to learn, and to talk to people from all backgrounds.
What I don’t use it for is hashtags.
I can’t fully remember what was trending at the time - I have my twitter set to local so it honestly could’ve been anything. There’s a few slightly concerning things going on where I live to be honest, but it was using the hashtag #OnlyWomenHaveCervixes or something like that.
I remember seeing a lot of talk in whatever was trending at the time that women’s rights in general were transphobic.
I didn’t agree.
I think women’s rights groups have done a lot of good for a lot of different people - male sufferers of domestic violence as just one example. And to write off womens rights as a whole as transphobic? I just didn’t agree.
I don’t agree with the hashtag.
Sex and gender are different.
Trans women are women, trans men are men.
This isn’t an excuse, and I’m only guessing because I really really do not use Twitter very often, so I genuinely don’t know.
I don’t use hashtags, they’re not something I think is very helpful a lot of the time.
It’s not something I’d intentionally sit there and type out is what I’m trying to get across here - So I can only assume that when I made the tweet the page was still on this trending hashtag and it got added without me paying much attention.
Being called a TERF is really confusing when you’re neither a feminist, nor someone who wants to exclude trans people.
I’m a classical liberal. I have respect for the historical significance of feminism, and I respect people's right to talk about their own experiences and express themselves freely.
I’m also a human who has had their own life and lived experiences, and I have thoughts and feelings about things that grow and change all the time.
Nothing has been or will be deleted, I’m down to talk about anything openly and honestly, and I’m always open to having my mind changed and hearing others' viewpoints.

I have no friends to talk to about life stuff like.. at all,
So I guess FA's just gonna have to do!
Went to the Dr's today to get back on my anxiety meds, she also gave me beta-blockers and Valium for the panic attacks and for the first few weeks when the Fluoxetine is gonna likely make me feel even worse~
Gonna start taking them tonight, make it a before bed thing.
That 420 life has been helping my anxiety a TON, but I think I'm finally ready for proper help.
Looking into CBT and counselling, got another follow up in two weeks or so.
Been feeling literally insane lately. 1-2 panic attacks daily, maybe the odd day or two of rest, but I'm just so exhausted, and all these false thoughts and feelings are really just...
Eating me alive.
I was crying to my boof the other day because I literally felt genuinely insane and I was terrified, but honestly it was just another one of those false thoughts that set me off into a spiral.
Brain's are assholes man.
So I get home from the doctors, feeling pretty shit because I now have three kinds of medication I have to take all for mental health shit.
I just wanna feel fucking normal.
We're also having a horrifically rough time lately - Boof hasn't been able to find a steady and stable job since Christmas, so money's been... Beyond tight, I've been paying out for a LOT, I haven't had time for anything but work - But these last two weeks we're slowly getting there He's got a new job - He's not paid till next week though which is shit.. But we're scraping by I guess.
It's my birthday friday, we can't really do anything for it - We're having a fire but that's it really. It'll be.. fine. I guess.
BUT RIGHT THEN OKAY, I GET HOME FROM THE DOCTORS AND CHECK TWITTER AND YA GIRLS ONLY GONE AND WON A GIVE AWAY FOR THE NEW SIMS 4 EXPANSION SHE WAS SAD SHE COULDNT BUY.
Bloody 70+ twitter notifications, I'm like, Dafuq has gone on? Am I in a controversy? Wot do? Halp?

Had a bit of an emergency, our bathroom leaked today and it's leaked ALL into the ceiling of the shops below - This happened before and it ended up costing us hundreds to make up for the insurance thingy, cause they wouldn't cover all of it?
And we doubt they're gonna be able to cover any this time around, so we really need to get as much money in as we physically can!

Just wondering if anyone's come across any tutorials or wee lessons or videos on drawing furry heads/generic animal heads from a more underside angle?
I always draw faces from the same few perspectives, and I really want to experiment with lower angles looking up - Like so you can see the underside of the jaw a bit?
Think it would really help making big boofs more dynamic and emphasise size difference pieces in a super nice way, I'm just struggling with how and where to place lines and how to construct the shapes properly
I've been breaking it down into spheres and cuboids, but it just ain't lookin' right! :s

Right, so I've been thinking more and more that I might want to move to Canada, BC in specific... But my first problem is that I have Type 1 Diabetes...
Being from the UK, i get all my meds and supplies on the NHS, so i don't have to pay for anything... I'm just wondering how health care and all that works over there???
Do you have to pay for health care in Canada ? How do you afford to have a long term issue and treat it ??
I also have depression that I'm taking meds for... but I could sacrifice them if I needed to just to save myself cost tbf... Just try to deal with it.
But yeah... How does the health care work???

Heya, Wondering if anyone can help me find some good weight loss youtube channels to follow?
Every damn one I can find the person is either super skinny and healthy, *really* morbidly obese, or vegan.
The real skinny/fit ones I can't really watch, either 'cause I'm a jealous bean, and I just want to be where they are now. ORRRRRRR They're way too thin/muscly to even begin to relate to personally.
The morbidly obese ones, while inspiring for sure - Because I'm not really... I'm not that large? So again I can't really relate there either.
I don't find them motivating personally, because the kind of change they see isn't the same kind of change I want to, or will ever see.
Gah, I just can't relate to those videos either :/
And the vegan ones.. Honestly I just really love my meat and dairy products lol :')
Vegan ones I've tried to look at just for their journey rather than their diet - they STILL come off as super "mightier than thou" in how they talk about their diet choice.

It's like I'm in this weird spot where I'm too fat for "thicc" girls with those tiny waists, huge asses and thighs and little to no bellies.
But then I'm not fat ENOUGH for these other "cliques" either.
I'm simultaneously too fat AND too thin for "thicc" or "chubby" and I have no idea how.
Anyone else find that as well..?
Just from what I see on my feeds, social medias, Instagram specifically- There's two kinds of thicc.
Skinny thicc, where they have insanely tiny waists, and then the PHATTEST of asses and thighs.
Then you got BBW thicc, which sorta speaks for itself, where these women are fucking GODDESSES and loving themselves and SO beautiful to see.
It's literally the same when you type in 'chubby girl' on google - You get one or the other, and very little in between, ACTUAL chubby girls (That could just be my location though, I know google searches show different things based on location I'm pretty sure)- And Idk if this is privilege of some kind or what, But I just feel almost like.. My body type doesn't exist (For want of a better phrasing) in the main stream anywhere really :s
Not even on social media where anyone and everyone can share what they look like and how they do the thing.
Maybe that's misguided? Maybe I've just found myself in a weird echo-chamber some how?
Maybe I need to check my privilege, Idk?
It's just trying to find someone I can relate to with this is stupidly WAY more difficult than I was expecting - And it's real disheartening.
Kinda makes me wanna do my OWN weight loss channel type thing?
But also anxiety.

Is it good for weight loss, or would more cardio in general like exercise bikes be better for me?
