General update.
General | Posted 10 years ago OK, so I've been delayed a lot longer than I'd expected (or previously implied in my journal), but for those still watching or any new readers that stumbled upon my little WIP story:
There's nothing further completed yet at least. I have most of the story ideas and notes completed (and some ideas for sequels or other unrelated narratives in the same world) but haven't had the time and motivation to turn them into anything readable yet. I might get back to it soon, or not so soon, I can't really say at the moment, but I'm still dedicated to completing it and have a good mind to explore some of the other ideas afterward. I'd rather not spoil any specifics, but I think it'll end up a pretty neat ride once it's finished. :3
For anyone interested, some of those ideas will end up in more mature/adult related situations for one reason or another, though some I will probably edit down to PG or PG-13 level to be more inclusive to any existing readers who prefer to keep it that. (as in I'll release explicit and non-explicit versions) Though some ideas really have too much of the plot and character development tied to explicit scenes of one form or another to really work well totally cut back. (and some of that might be purely graphic violence or other harsh/horror themed stuff than sexual in nature but still stuff I probably wouldn't want to leave with the general audience tag, I might just throw heavy warnings on some, not sure -some people assume /all/ the mature content is just for sex sooo ... not totally sure how I'll organize it yet)
The existing In the Valley storyline will remain general audience tagged.
Again, I'm not sure when I'll have anything new to show or share, but I hope to make it fairly soon.

Progress updates and stuff
General | Posted 12 years agoOK, just a quick update:
In the Valley most definitely will continue (already have a lot of outlining done for further chapters) and will get revisions for chap 2-4 as well. I'd planned to have a lot more out already, but my writing schedule didn't keep up with that. Being sick on and off from finals (early December) though all of my vacation time was at least part of that.
It is and always was an ongoing story: the setting (or world rather) is pretty well fleshed out (well beyond what will likely be used in this limited setting -though hints of the bigger picture will likely show up ;) ) and the rest of it is largely character driven with a few general plot points developing as things progress. So, for now, it's going to remain open-ended as sort of an ongoing adventure. (might break into more spin-offs as well, as ended up with Duality, or actual sequels if this arc ends up finding a definitive closing point rather than just continuing)
In any case, it'll be there sooner or later, so, if you're actually waiting, just hang in there. ;)

OK, so finally "breaking out" on here . . .
General | Posted 12 years agoOK, so I've been a lurker here for ages with almost no activity. My writing finally spurred me to go further here . . . I mean, if I'm actually going to contribute stuff, I might as well stop hiding in the shadows. ;)
I have been involved in the community itself for some 8 years now . . . more or less as a casual reader of viewer, and actually active on macrohile.com for the last few years -started getting a little active back in '08, then kind of fell back again until 2010, when I really started getting into discussions on the writing forums)
Duct Tape Fanatic (DTF on here) is pretty much my favorite writer in the community (or favorite amateur writer of any description, really), and certainly the one I've been following the longest. From normal-ish alternate realities, dystopias, futuristic sci-fi, high fantasy, post-apocalypstic, and a bunch in-between, he's managed to work macro/micro (and often vore) themed works into a number of awesome short stories and (more so) ongoing novel length pieces.
There's a long list of others I follow (many I really like -or at very least their writing ;)), some still active, some who've apparently disappeared, but I'm not going to start making a list now. (check my favorite artists in my profile for a short list)
I have a pretty good long-term memory, and musing on the topic has brought even more to the surface. In any case, the whole "macro" and "vore" things go back as far as I can remember, though I obviously didn't know they were a thing until much later (late 2004 or early 2005, more or less -I was 15 in any case).
I recently opened up with a ton of lengthy, semi-coherent, and most certainly rambling introspection on the topic here:
http://forums.macrophile.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18454
and here too:
http://forums.macrophile.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&p=379690#p379690
So anyone willing to wade though my walls of text on the topic is welcome to take a look. (not really any mention of specific details . . . or anything explicit really, so no worries there either, just lots of digging up of old memories and excessive introspective analysis)
One thing I don't really though upon there is that, while "traditional" vore (ie oral :p ) and direct variants thereof (all in the "soft" -as in swallowed whole and alive by creatures massive enough to do so) was pretty much the exclusive fantasy I'd run into in my own head as a little kid,
After actually getting into the online macrohile community (including the giantess scene -now mostly abandoned- as well as furry stuff), the interest kind of expanded to fill pretty much the full set of genres for Endosomatophilia (sexual or otherwise), with a preference to some more than others, and additional context to all that too. (ie theme or situation or the characters involved)
Albeit all cases are pretty much always tied to a macro theme as well. (same size stuff . . . especially stretching and the like just doesn't really interest me, or at least not remotely nearly as much as the macro/micro themed counterparts)
But again, on the macro end itself, I'm on the "small" PoV for the fantasy, and scenarios/genres including that range pretty much anything that's been done or can be done with size differences. (size play, various aspects of power play, etc, etc) Though I much prefer not so ridiculously extreme differences in scale that actual interaction of any kind becomes basically impossible. Totally overpowered or limitless power tends to make things kind of boring too . . . unless you manage to do that with an interesting character that's tastefully controlled and not overused. (so, effectively not running into that issue anyway)
The whole "uncontrolled endless growth" thing gets boring really fast for me, though it can be kind of amusing when done in a cartoony/comical sense. (there's some exceptions of some really well done examples that work really well with extremely vast differences in scale, though; and more so in cases of multiple sizes/tiers to kind of bridge things -nested size scenarios can be pretty interesting in particular)
