Don't care. hug me, snug me, grope me, tackle me (I will tackle you back) whatevs. Just a word of warning, I may not always be, well, me in my fursuits. Also, avoid heavy and violent contact if I have camera gear or anything

I would say look for the short Asian dude with the big camera but as experience shows, that doesn't quite work at furcons anymore. Prob twitter, grogginator or tgram, GroggyFox

No, I only talk to imaginary aminal friends

Sure, just leave me a blank check. Credit card numbers (with expiration date and CVC), social security numbers, and bank account numbers work great too. I also take kidneys assuming they are healthy :P

That's all usually pretty obvious and apparent. If I'm screaming at someone, I'm prob angry. Crying in a corner? prob upset. Running past you at breakneck speeds, prob busy.

This con was...weird...
I dunno why but I felt very off for the first few days. Didn't get out of my funk till late saturday night. And then to put the cherry on the cake, the chlorine incident happened. Tried to have as much fun as I could Sunday but was difficult due to everyone's lack of sleep.
I think the con and hotel staff handled the situation fairly well, save for some individuals outdoors who were being less than calm and collected about giving instructions. I can't confirm whether they were even on staff or not but screaming "KEEP MOVING, GO THAT WAY, DON'T STOP" at a large group of people already trying to move as quickly and calmly as they could was NOT HELPING. Beyond that, I felt the situation was handled as best as it could given the circumstances.
Either way, I once again, missed a LOT OF STUFF I wanted to do including hanging out with certain folks and certain events I had planned on trying to hit up. All I can say is that there will be more opportunities in the future. Will likely be cutting back on the number of cons I hit next year.
On another note, I feel like I'm getting burned out on fursuiting. I sold a suit at mff and am looking to sell another one. We'll see what happens.
Hope everyone else who went had fun and are safely home. Next up is FC which should be a lot better since I'll have my lovebird there with me <3

BLFC. Long con for me but SUPER fun. I haven't had that much fun at a con in a while. LOTS of suit swapping, staffed load in and load out as well as a bit of random stuff during the con. Missed chain control and had decent weather on the drive there and back. Did a thing I'd never thought I'd do... The sky swing... I have a massive fear of heights but somehow wolfwings persuaded me to go. Took the plunge with Soki and Jolly Jackal, all in fursuit too. Had rubbery legs for like an hour afterward but was oh so worth it. Did lots of suit swapping. Not even gonna try and name everyone cause there was a lot :P Overall a great con though I may be considerably more busy next year with staffing
Next up, ESG. Room get, Limo ride signed up, registered, Transportation organized! Califur is all set to go too!
AC, just bought plane tickets (yay southwest miles!), staying in an EPIC suite for the con, and well, I'm excited.

Otherwise general life has been up and down. Always feeling lonely but I get a feeling that's partially caused by physical distance with close friends. Nothing much happening in terms of day to day life though lots of upcoming cons and events to look forward to. Hope everyone is doing well

In all honesty though, I dunno what the drama is/was about, I don't care, etc.etc. blah blah. I'm just noticing more and more journals about people jumping ship from FA and using weasyl instead so I thought it might be a good idea to start using weasyl as well as FA so I can keep up with everyone.
I don't plan on bailing on FA any time soon unless something triggers a mass exodus on FA and everyone moves to Weasyl. Keeping up with 2 art sites is gonna SUCK but eh, needs to happen. Also, migrated my watch list over for all peeps who had weasyl accounts on file or had same/similar names as FA.

FC thoughts

So, for starters, I was on exec staff this year.
I will admit it was more work than I was expecting, but to be completely honest, I think I enjoyed it quite a lot.
There were a few hiccups and miscommunications which I think contributed to me being completely wiped for most of the con. Will be changing a few things for next year.
I'd still like to stay on exec staff though I'm not 100% sure marketing is my department tbh. I hear there may be an opening as hotel 2nd and that has kinda piqued my interest. I'll admit I know it'll be a lot of work but one of the biggest problems I had this year was super high expectations. Next year, for FC, I'm gonna drive my smaller car, by myself, bring 2 suits tops, and would like to room with other staff members or possibly dealers/artists. That way, I know the sleep schedules won't be too far off whack. I still expect to drink a bit and enjoy myself but nothing crazy.
This years con was...Tiring...
Some miscommunication, room drama, and heavy snoring contributed to a lack of sleep and really crappy sleep when/where I did get to pass out.
Now, friends. I feel like I'm growing distant with everyone. Starting to feel more like acquaintances with most folks than actual friends. Iono, just don't feel like I'm spending enough quality time with anyone anymore. On top of that, I feel like my fursuit performance has really declined a lot. Just don't feel like I have the energy. Out of the handful of times is suited this con, I feel like I've only brought justice to the characters I was playing twice. Maybe I was just too tired.
Next item to address, fursuit swaps. I won't be doing planned fursuit swaps anymore. It's just too difficult to keep up, and once again, expectations. Feel like I let several peeps down this con but I was either too busy or wasn't feeling up to it. More or less, I'll continue to swap but just find me at a con to do it and see if timing, etc works out. Second, I'm not gonna approach anyone about swaps anymore. I'll let others approach me with offers to swap. This con, I found out I have some jealousy issues and due to a certain event, kinda became very blah for a night. I'm realizing it's not a competition or anything and if someone wants to suit swap, they can poke me. I won't be actively looking for swaps in the future unless offered.
I will say though that out of the few swaps I did manage, many thanks to Mochi, Auron, Kyu, and BunDingo for the opportunities, I had a ton of fun! The con was tiring but it was definitely a memorable one.
Also, wanted to give shoutouts to Latte, Thank you so much for everything! Helping me get acquainted with marketing procedures, and the such. As well as Dax and Sasho. Thank you both so much for being there for me when I needed it on staff and showing me the ins and outs of the exec staff world. Very much looking forwards to working with everyone this coming year.

Next item to address, fursuit swaps. I won't be doing planned fursuit swaps anymore. It's just too difficult to keep up, and once again, expectations. Feel like I let several peeps down this con but I was either too busy or wasn't feeling up to it. More or less, I'll continue to swap but just find me at a con to do it and see if timing, etc works out. Second, I'm not gonna approach anyone about swaps anymore. I'll let others approach me with offers to swap. This con, I found out I have some jealousy issues and due to a certain event, kinda became very blah for a night. I'm realizing it's not a competition or anything and if someone wants to suit swap, they can poke me. I won't be actively looking for swaps in the future unless offered.
I will say though that out of the few swaps I did manage, many thanks to Mochi, Auron, Kyu, and BunDingo for the opportunities, I had a ton of fun! The con was tiring but it was definitely a memorable one.
Also, wanted to give shoutouts to Latte, Thank you so much for everything! Helping me get acquainted with marketing procedures, and the such. As well as Dax and Sasho. Thank you both so much for being there for me when I needed it on staff and showing me the ins and outs of the exec staff world. Very much looking forwards to working with everyone this coming year.

General | Posted 12 years agoTo start, I'll state that I'm not even going to TRY to remember everything I did and everyone I met. The weekend was a blur and TBH, it felt WAY too short.
The Good?
-Awesome and very tolerant roommates (I tend to get messy as the con goes on)
-was nice having 3 in the room rather than more. I liked the space
-Meeting new peeps, seeing old peeps
-All the good food (Fogo, Hofbrau, giordanos, etc.)
-and of course, the suit swaps
Oh the suit swaps... Those really made my con!
The 2 major ones that I did was a swap with Bella Coyote, Jay for Torq, and one with Kait and Jordhan, Torq for Dorito. Was absolutely wicked awesome that I got to wear other suits again and that I got to share Torq with others.
There were a few other suit loans on my end too.
Loved meeting a ton of new fursuit makers, some in passing, some I actually got to chat with a bit more. To name a few, latin vixen, the sunny valley ladies, AutumnFallings (Bella), Soki, Drakonicknight, etc.
The Bad?
-I felt a bit lonely this con, very lone wolfish. Though I hung out with lots of people, there really wasn't a group I felt like I belonged with, always felt kinda alienated.
-Missed a few suit swap opportunities due to timing, communications, and lack of proper planning.
-Was fairly lost having never been to the con hotel and had issues finding both food and con rooms
-Felt very out of it when suiting and stuff this con, not as energetic and playful as I normally am.
-Slept too late and woke up too late every day.
The con in general was a ton of fun. Just had a lot of planning difficulties and really kinda just fudge planning up. Also felt like I kept forgetting things as well. Other than that, everything was super impromptu. Never really had food plans that worked out well, never really got invited to food or anything, etc.
Was kinda just wander the con till I got bored, go back to my room, fire a tweet off, stare at the wall... Then when things did happen, I was out for food, or a supply run, etc.
Next year should be better since I know the area and hotel now. We'll see though.
I must also offer my deepest apologies to those that we had talked about suit trades and other plans before the con but never ended up doing them in the end. Next con I run into everyone at, they will happen!
Another big thing I learned this con. There are a ton of communities in the fandom. I've dabbled a bit in a lot of them. The one I feel like I belong most in is with the fursuiters/fursuit makers. I go to cons to suit. I could care less about getting commissions, dance related stuff, most panels, and other events like FVS. I just wanna suit really. That, and take pics. I just feel super out of place hanging out with certain friends in other interest groups i guess.
On a final note. I'm a nice guy who's obsessed with fursuits. I have a lot of them. I love sharing but equally, I love trying other suits too. I have no problem loaning suits out at cons but I'm starting to become way more interested in suit trades vs loans. I'd rather be able to have another suit to run around in rather than be one suit down at a con. I'll continue to loan them out but I do wanna say that suit swaps will take priority for me now.

Getting back in to the swing of things and kinda rant?
General | Posted 12 years agoFinally back from RF. No con report this time but I will say it was AMAZING. Prob one of my most enjoyable cons ever for lots of reasons. New surprise fursuit, fun ass roadtrip with extra time spend enjoying seattle and ashland, friends, and much much more.
I got to welcome Torq the sabertooth to my ever growing family of fursuits and I must say
skyote did an absolutely amazing job on him. I cannot even begin to describe how happy I was with him. That, and the secret unveiling was absolutely amazing. Will have to do it again some day.

Final side note, I'm about 5'8" at 180 lbs. I tend to be pretty damned friendly at cons and lend out suits sometimes. If you're that size or smaller, feel free to poke me about borrowing a suit at some point, I'll have lots with me.
