Just doing my part to help out the con staff of Furry Fiesta and spread the word here.

Basically, Furry Fiesta is my hometown con and its been a great time the last two years. I'll be selling in the dealers room again, behind the  FurPlanet tables. We'll have an exciting new release we'll be announcing soon. There will also be a live  KnotCast podcast again too.

Besides those things I'm involved in, there's also a live Unsheathed podcast, live music performances by  bucktowntiger and  hali, Rocky Horror Picture Show, tons of panels and all the usual con goodness.

It really helps con staffs out a lot if folks who are planning to attend pre-register for the con. I haven't mentioned this here yet, but I've been published again whoohoo!

I did mention this on KnotCast, but since I know not everyone listens to the show, here's the scoop.

A comic I wrote, which was based on my story, "Pulled Over", and illustrated by  ObsidianObelisk, has been included in issue 10 of Genus: Male.

I think this is pretty cool. G:M is an annual comic, coming out every January, and I've been buying it every year since issue one. I'd talked to the Radio Comix folks years back with an artist friend about possibly getting a comic in this anthology, but they were booked up at the time. Now, we're in it. Its kinda neat that this is issue 10 and is therefore the tenth anniversary of Genus: Male.

As most of you probably know by now, I'll be attending Oklacon this coming weekend. I'm looking forward to this. Oklacon is one of the more relaxing cons I go to.

Other than the live KnotCast and the occasional selling in the dealers room I tend to be a lot more low key at this con. I just kinda soak up the environment and chill most of the time. This year will be a little different though.
For the first time I'll be attending a con as a guest of honor and that's pretty cool. Well, technically the show is the guest of honor but close enough. :-P Luckily the GOH duties don't look too strenuous. We have a live show, a meet the GOHs and a GOH dinner. I think that's it.

Some of the time I'll be selling some of my FurPlanet stock in the dealers room. I'm only bringing a bit of this and that though since Teiran will be taking a lot of our stuff to Furfright the same weekend. Besides, I like to relax at this con so I'm not gonna be selling hardcore. The good news is that my table will be next to Ringtail Cafe. I've know the RTC crowd for years now and they're some of my best friends in the fandom. I don't get to see them that often so it'll be nice to be next to them and chat a bit while selling stuff.

Oklacon. I mean that sincerely. I go to this con because I enjoy being somewhere with no computers and very little cell coverage once a year. The highlight of Oklacon for me is the con atmosphere itself and just hanging out with my friends who are there.

Its been ten years and nearly 40 cons so I've no idea. A lot.

Whoohoo! This year I'll be attending Rain Furrest for the first time.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Seattle for the first time and also introducing this con to  furplanet. Its impossible for me to deal at every con, but I do enjoy bringing the store to a con its never been to before and maybe introducing some new folks to who we are and what we do

I am flying up to Seattle on Wednesday night before the con and staying till Tuesday. Several Seattle friends want to hang out with me and a posse of San Jose furs who are going up want to show me around too so I'm gonna be super busy. I love my day job's new time off policy which allows me to take some additional time off. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the sights and enjoying another con I haven't attended before. This should be an amazing trip. I just have to not stress myself to bits preparing for it beforehand. Speaking of which, I'll be going back to work on FurPlanet prep stuff after this journal.

Sorry about the delay. I got behind while dealing with various cons, doing layouts for some upcoming new releases, day job stuff, etc. Doing a proper edit on a podcast takes some time and I was becoming overly obsessive about getting it just right so it kept getting put on the back burner and before I knew it 2 months had gone by since our last episode.

But don't worry. We're not pod-fading and I plan to keep the show going. We have two more episodes which are already recorded. I just need to do the editing on those. After that, Teal and I will chat about when we'll be recording next and what topic to tackle while we wait for the Christmas special to air.

So yeah, I won't be attending RCFM this year. With the number of cons  teiran and I attend to set up the  FurPlanet table and deal at we have to split our con duties in order to budget out the vacation time from our jobs. So this is one I'm missing out on. It evens out though, I'm doing Rain Furrest solo next month and I have a feeling RF is gonna be awesome! I may see about RCFM next year, time permitting.

 teiran is already on his way and this afternoon after a short day at my day job I'll be flying out to FAU as well. We have two  furplanet tables in the dealers room and my mate has diligently hauled all of our publications there in his car, weighing down his poor little Toyota I'm sure.

This will be our first time attending and dealing at FAU so we're pretty excited and have high hopes for this being a successful con for us.

Of course we'll have our own products, but we're also carrying titles from Bad Dog Books, Anthropomorphic Dreams, Radio Comix and Dark Horse. We also have furry music with his by Sub-level 03,  bucktowntiger and  corsi.

I've been kinda keeping this project on the downlow, but I mentioned it on the last episode of KnotCast and now its finally active so here's the info.

WhoFurs is a podcast where two furries talk about Doctor Who. My co-host is . Our first episode is up now. This one is an intro episode where we each give our background relating to Doctor Who, how long we've been fans, spin-off media, etc.

We're planning to record every other week and while the new DW season is airing we'll discuss two episodes of the season each show. The rest of the year we'll come up with other topics to geek out about. Just a note, we will only be discussing the episodes in detail after they have aired on BBC America. We figure that should be sufficient time for most people to see the episodes so we can try and avoid being spoilery beforehand.

I've got three tables for FurPlanet in the dealers room this year. We're carrying all our own publications as always, including our new releases like Seeing Spots and Bridges, but we are also carrying titles from Sofawolf, Rabbit Valley, Anthrodreams, Radio Comix and Dark Horse Comics.

Also, there will be a live recording on Saturday night at 11pm in panel room 1. Savrin and I will be doing this show, but we'll try to get the audience involved and asking questions. A: Probably my apartment since I'm local

A: At the tables in the dealers room, but I'll also be helping out in registration a bit on Friday morning.

A: Well, since we live together. This question makes more sense when I'm staying at the hotel.

Q: What is your gender?
A: Male and lovin' it

Q: How old are you?
A: Old enough to operate the dangerous machinery involved in making the Furry Fiesta conbooks. O.o

Q: Are you taken?
A: Yes, I'm mated to Teiran, but that doesn't mean you can't flirt. :-P

Q: Can I touch you?
A: If I don't know you, I'd rather you didn't. I'm not a very touchy, huggy person unless it's with someone I already know well.

Q: Can I talk to you?
A: Absolutely, how else can I sell you porn if you don't talk to me. :-D

Q: Can I buy you lots of drinks?
A: I require a constant supply of Diet Coke to keep me awake while working in the dealers room. After that, I'll probably have a few drinks with friends or just collapse from exhaustion.

Q: Can I give you lots of money?
A: Please do! I also take credit! *holds up card swiper thingy*

In addition to helping out in reg and selling all our wonderful stuff I'll also be on the live show. We'll be doing that Friday night at 10 and we've got a much larger space this year. We're in a lecture hall! O.o Gonna be awesome!
