Posted 12 years agoIll keep you guys updated, I'm currently typing this from my phone, mediacom told me this morning when I called them that the server in my area or some such was untraceable and they had a team out trying to fix it. I was given a time bracket of anywhere from a few hours to possibly later this evening before its fixed. I don't know when it will be working for me sadly so untill I do the stream is in limbo for this evening.

When Did I become this?
Posted 12 years agoover the past couple days a few people have been noting me asking me for advice on artwork claiming to be new to FA and Requesting me to add them on Skype etc.
I'm like.... wha? If this were an isolated incident I'd think it was a case of mistaken identity or spam, but its more than one person. I refuse to see myself as a popular fandom Artist mind you. I draw pretty pictures for the fandom for a living.
Also no offense to the people who noted me but is this a spam thing thats going around or are these legitimate people wanting advice? Also I don't use Skype, I really don't. I have a business account (i discontinued use of my old personal one) that I give out to the people I dual stream with, THAT'S IT. I only use skype for that purpose. Please forgive me I am not an avid skype user. I'm honestly not a very social person outside of streams to all my new watchers, thank you i love you for watching me and if through watching me on livestream I find you to be an interesting person I'd like to talk to we'll chat there.

Posted 12 years agoAllright I'm going to be doing short run (2 day) and long run (4 day) YCH Auctions, but I thought i'd spice things up a bit and see what people would most like to see from me.
So here's the list of potential Ideas I've been mulling over.
1. Bane Chewing on someone's arm/leg - 3 Vote
2. Bane dragging someone off to playtime by their tail. - 9 Vote
3. Sagitar sitting on a tied up Torture victim. (both subjects fully clothed)
4. Bane post-tackle of someone, pinning them to the floor. - 7 Vote
5. Sagitar standing over a torture victim with a short whip (both subjects fully clothed, victim might be shirtless) - 1 Vote

Late stream tonight
Posted 12 years agoI'll be starting the stream betwen 8 and 9 EDT, hopefully no later than that. The rents once again sprung a trip to florida on me and we're just now getting unpacked. (before you think this is a vacation its not, as with most trips down to florida, orlando excluded, I'm expected to be a slave but mother wouldn't stop whining untill I agreed. HOPEFULLY despite being at someone's beck and call for a few days while they get the beachouse back in order, i'll find time to still relax. stream start times will be a little touch and go but i will be streaming consistantly this week as always. the starts may just be a little later.

Posted 12 years agoMegaplex was amazing, I met lots of wonderful people I'd only ever met online. While an exhausting and somewhat mentally and emotionally taxing I found the con to be a huge sucess.
As many of you might already be aware, I suffer from Social anxiety. this is somewhat new I started to have anxiety attacks when I was looking for jobs to apply to way back when I was still in retail hell and living with my parents. They got so bad i couldn't even look at job listings for fear of how much of a disappointment I would be. Eventually this translated into social gatherings where i actively feared meeting new people because of that same anxiety.
When I lived with the parents this reaction was never an option for me. I was routinely slapped into social interaction often against my will and forced to deal with it, so i dealt with it without a second thought. The moment i failed at a job, was told I was incompetent and then all other wonderful things about my work ethic that no-one had bothered to tell me while I was working at said place, i was handed a choice. I could let that awful experience define me or I could rise above it and get another job. i tried to rise above it, I tried to not let thier words hurt but in the end, I succumbed to the criticism of two men I'd hardly known for a month. It shaped and effected me so badly and so deeply it now translates into fear of social failure.
At the Con people were welcoming, accepting, caring and even interested in my projects I felt special and important instead of hated and despised. I fake being a socialite very well on the stream but in person I am often very much a meek little thing untill I've been around the crowd. To all of you that attended megaplex and made it such a worthwhile visit. thank you so very much.

Posted 12 years agoFirstly If you have been trying to contact me on IM 1. I don't use yahoo anymore. so my only communication now is through AIM, and sadly I have an issue where It won't log in, I know how to fix it but I don't have the current energy. I'll fix it later. Basically if you've been trying to contact me with it, I haven't had it live since thursday, and its been broken since then as far as I know. Sorry about that.
Tomorrow (wendsday) and Friday I shall be off the grid recovering fully from the con.
genesisw and uriel were amazing to me while I stayed with them and shared a room with megaplex with Gen.

Posted 12 years agoSitting in the airport at my gate to Orlando trying hard not to have an anxiety attack from excitement and nervousness. Hoo this is my first time ever flying to a con here's hoping all my supplies arrive safe and sound. For those of you coming to mp ill see you there.
Sewing machine 1, Fox 0
Posted 12 years agoSo I was finally able to wrangle my sewing machine from my mother's grip and bring it to my place and decided today to finally learn how to sew with it. I had recently modifed a dinosaur plushie to my own ends by making what I hoped would be a workable Sirenidae plush, little, little did I know what awaited me. As a life-time sewer with a needle and thread, machine free, I had yet to grasp the quint essentia concept that when making a plushie with a sewing machine one must A. make sure to have a sizable fabric margin (of error) between the border of the fabric and the drawn outline of the pattern. hand sewing this isnt as much of an issue, machine sewing it is... especially when the edge makes it hard to guide the fabric properly. The second hangup was my choice in fabric, namely cheap crush velvet which curls terribly without sableization .
tl;dr i made a ton of mistakes in round one, thankfully the color I chose to experiment with was hideous anyway.

Posted 12 years agoI will no-longer be taking sketch-phase comics in the current format im making them. I hate the quality and its simply not worth my time to make a sketchy mess of poor quality sketches for $25 while a good value for people who want quick comics from me, my crisis of concience is too much. I will still keep the overlord comic donations for sketch page sponsorship at $25 as thats a personal project.
I'm working on offerng nicer ranges of services in conjunction with the baseline that I currently offer. This WILL NOT EFFECT my day-to-day commission stream prices as they are set now. These are instead superfluous options in case you want something with higher detail. There will be a total of 3 teirs of work. Moderate, medium detail, and high detail.
The new comic format will start at $50 for a sketch with nicer panel layouts, more like an actual comic page. The quality of the sketches will be more on-par with the nicer pages of the Overlord comics but with far more structured panels and pacing.

The state of the Overlord RP forum
Posted 12 years agoI know me and ironfox: have been neglctful lately of the RP. I want that to change I do. I've been looking through EVERYONE and skimming the bootcamp and people who were grandfathered in and etc etc. I've decided that since the Overlord comic will one day have its very own home on its very own website, it will also be getting a shiny new forum (which i can design and moderate with relative ease when Iron is not around in case thats needed)
Thing Is im very much into quality RP over quantity, as such EVERYONE currently involved in the RP will be placed in the New forum's Bootcamp. Do not treat what goes on in Bootcamp as canonical. Further more once it goes live you are only allowed to make ONE thread between evaluations. You may only partipate in THREE threads at any given time in Bootcamp. This allows me to make a better ascessment of your character. Once you feel you are "ready' for the actual RP you may put in a formal request to be included in it in an application forum. THERE you will present your character sheet with the character you've developed. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS BEFORE ENTERING BOOTCAMP Bootcamp is designed to flesh out a character, find out what works and what doesn't and then present that character once fleshed out for ascessment. You will be given a test. If you pass that test you'll be allowed onto the main forums. The Thread you made in bootcamp will be deleted whether you pass or not. If you Fail. you must make a new thread with the corrections given to you by staff.

Recently I got called a bully for ignoring someone that made me feel increasingly uncomfortable. This part of the article sums up my feelings perfectly.
