Hey there, everyone. How’s it poppin’?

I know this journal is a late one on two fronts, both as a weekly thing and as a year-in-review type of deal. As usual, laziness and apathy ruled me over. Heck, it’s starting to affect my time playing Pokémon Legends Z-A. I want to play it, but there are others I want to do first, so my brain just blue-screened.

I would promise I will do better, but I also know that I would not hold myself to it. Heck, I can’t even hold myself to my own schedule. I can only follow through on it if it’s enforceable by another.

First off, my Christmas was OK. It could’ve been better, but that’s only because I had a cold. Ugh. One of the worse timings to get sick. Am I right? Even now, nearly two weeks later, I’m still suffering from the aftereffects. I swear, these colds just want to linger on as long as possible, even hurting my sleeping schedule.

I just want to sleep without waking up in the middle of the night with a clogged nose.

As for writing, I’ve written a couple of short stories. One story, I’ve submitted to be a part of a collection. If it gets rejected, I may post it elsewhere. I would try putting it up on Kindle, though the other short story isn’t doing so well there too. As for the other, I’m posting that story tomorrow. I hope you all will like it.

Finally, here’s my year in review.

Overall, it was not terrible, but it was not too great either. As you all know, I got a nasty spider bite on my neck. I suppose that was one of the times I almost died. But, whether through God’s will or my being stubborn, I’m still alive. I also had a nasty time, what with my car getting dented by a shopping cart or pulling myself into a shell over negative times talking with people. Honestly, I feel like an idiot at times.

At the same time, I feel like I’m making progress. For example, this is the first time I’m writing to get published rather than just doing it for free. It hasn’t worked so far, but I’ll do my best to keep trying. To give up after trying one time, or not getting the sales that I wanted, is just not me. I’ve also finally begun writing The Pokémon Prometheus 3 after years of teasing. The first part is currently on my Patreon. If you want an early peek, sign up for it. In short, not exactly an easy time, but I’m not giving up.

The fact that I’m still pushing through Patreon despite never earning enough to get taxed on it says something.

I don’t usually do New Year’s Resolutions, but I have two goals for the year. One is to complete The Pokémon Prometheus 3. Two is to get a short story published in a collection. I hope to succeed in both.
