Been on FA for 6 years! I havent been as active the last few years. But i still come on. I love the people i have met on here and of course all of the amazing art people have made for me. I dont feel as close to the community anymore but i miss it.

Hopefully i can get back in and meet even more awesome people. :)

IDK why i just stopped coming on. But I'm back and im trying to get caught up. Thinking about buying some art.
A lot has happened. I moved out with my bf, got a new car, and been playing a lot of video games.

and tonight at work I found out my coworker is a furry too and we talked all night about it. then it turns out hes a suit maker and offered to make me one if I wanted. :3

its nice to make new friends, but better if they are new furry friends. Cause I cant talk to anyone in my real life about this stuff. and I got the feeling he fel the same way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I have seen a few times where an artist says they get frustrated when people just +fav their work and don't ever comment.
I do it a lot and I feel kinda bad but here's why.

See a lot of times I start to write something, I think about what I want to say about that piece, but I just cant...put it into words very well. I will write out a long thing, then delete it a bunch then start over, and eventually I just say "screw it, I sound stupid and they wont even care."

And sometimes I want to write more the generic "this looks good" or "Its so cute lol"
but i just cant get the right words down and i don't wanna look dumb. or god forbid, creepy XD

So yeah to any artist who might get annoyed with me just clicking favorite and never saying anything, this is why. i might have started to say something and thought better of it.

And i know i shouldn't be scared, that they would just appreciate anything if someone was saying they liked their art, but sometimes i see some artist be kinda mean to some people when they try to make a joke or be slightly creepy, and it really puts me off to wanting to just be friendly.

So anyway, if i don't comment, im sorry. i just...don't know what to say. but im trying to do it more. cause i want to tell people how much i like something or that appreciate something they make for me, but i feel really awkward about writing things over the internet. >.<

Yay today's my birthday!! i have a great day planned.

-My boyfriend is gonna take me to some bars for free drinks!

i think now that i havent for a while and i have a job now, i want to be more cautious of who i omission and how much i spend.
I have just had too many artist take too long on something or not do it right or be rude and now im kinda scared. I have a few that i will always buy from them but i feel like commissioning someone has become a gamble for me.
what if they start out ok, but then have problems irl and decide they dont want to finish it? or cant refund me. or what if they are rude and dont do it how i wanted?
Plus i also got rid of my paypal a long time ago cause i was having trouble with this site taking my money without asking. so i either need to use another method or make another paypal and be reeaaallly careful with it.
anyway i do have some ideas on how not to be screwed over.

-Check on the other art they have done.
-possibly talk to other people who have worked with them.
-keep a record somewhere of who i commissioned, when, and how much money i spent.and keep checking on it.
-keep an eye on them and ask them how its coming along if they havent updated you in a while.

thats just a few of course. if anyone has any advice or know an artist who has good prices AND good customer service let me know.

seriously i feel like i have dealt with some artists who just have very little to no professionalism. and it really sucks to get excited about a piece and spend money on it and then be disappointed with the experience. even if you get good art out of it.

it is a total scam.
I thought it was awesome when i got 5 books for $20 when you first sign up.

But then they have this system where they automatically send you books and charge your account unless you keep up with your email and have to send multiple emails to cancel.
they over drafted me TWICE. i even tried to cancel an order on paypal but they charged again and i had over $70 of over draft fees.

and to make matters worse, after i tried to cancel my account after send back the books to get my money back(not my over draft fees though) they then told me i had to fulfill my agreement to to buy 4 books in my first year. or they would charge me anyway.

seriously, dont do it. stay away. many people online say the same. i dont know how i can out of this besides deleting my paypal or buying 4 books. i would buy the books because i like reading but i dont have the money.
im fucked and i dont want anyone else going through this.

is a really good artist. She drew my character for me the first time. and she us having a bit of trouble money wise.
i know your thinkg "who isnt having money problems these days" but shes a good artist and you should at least check her out.

Holy crap man. i was driving home and barely made it the water was so high. but in a few hours, my street became a river. no shit, it is flowing and up in our driveway. i feel bad for the cars going through it, but every time they do, it creates a wave that splashes up our driveway.

Like i said, She is like me, but more outgoing. She is more fit, likes to dance and be active. Like how i wish i was. I wish i was less lazy and could be more active.

i think later i might change her a lil. like right now she doesnt have a specific way of doing her spots so im trying to think of a new way to do it. and maybe add some more piercings too.

hmm idk..i dont think there are. i think some artists may see her and think"oh go those spots are hard" but really they arent. i mean they are just random. the ones on he face and tail are really the only ones i care about.

damn one? maybe...her body? not just cause she is more fit, but shes also a little taller.

i am using paint tool sai and i have been practicing coloring with it. im not an artist, but it is kinda cool. maybe i can get good at it. :)
