Yeah I've been away from here for a second... Not like AWAY away, just... not posting.
Twitter turned out to be a far easier platform for me to work with than FA ~ I just built up social groups over there and got in to a rhythm.
That and I'm just super fucking bad with more than one or two social sites...
But with the recent catastrophy that is certain twats taking over the blue bird website... Thought it best I kick the dust off my account here!
So hey for those not in the know I'm in the final weeks of my Advanced EMT course! This is the worst time for me trying to reconfigure my social presence...
Give me a minute or two, I'll upload my backlog when I'm not choking on my own anxiety.

That sure was me doing another upload spam because I forgot to post anything in a hot minute!
It's been a busy time since July
-Continued pandemic pademonium
-Turnover of staff at my workplace and general burnout
-We got a new car
-Immigration paperwork needed to be done
-Preparing the garden I've tended to all summer for the turn of season
Ontop of it all I had one or two wrist issues cropping up - the telltale numbness of "hey give yourself a break!"
I kept forgetting to post stuff here - I'll try to be more ontop of that!

Where I've Been With Art

Hey! Figured it's about time for another update with things~
I had planned to keep this art train moving but hit a few stopping points along the way,
With our wonderful pandemic showing no signs of slowing down my day job has been a back-n-forth of stress and changing routines; 1/3rd of the staff is on voluntary leave, 2 of the 5 stores in town were closed for a month, I've been the only closing manager for 2 weeks solid. It's taken up a lot of my mental space.
Not only that but I haven't seen my parents in over 2 years now, unable to go out and socialize while remaining responsible, the stress of fluctuating work hours and pay between me and my wife. We're lucky that both our jobs still exist and we can still foot our bills each month, fuck knows there's far too much of the opposite happening in the wake of all this, but even so the fears and whatifs remain.
So art's been slow TLDR; had a depressive spat during the quarantine earlier on in the year, not really sure how to deal with suddenly being home all day and aimless. I got myself a garden started which has been a massive help (if a bit if a financial drain initially, oopse...) but the motivation to draw has waned somewhat. The stress of my job over the past two weeks has taken a sharp upwards turn, but should be lessening as the month progresses with extra staff coming back and other stores re-opening. Plus we've been given far more tools to protect ourselves from the frankly ignorant public.
Getting back on the horse slowly and in small ways - personal sketches and smaller projects among the big ones. I have a few large charity commissions to finish up before I take on anything else that isn't just sketches. I managed to get myself in a hole by taking some slow-burn projects that left me feeling like I was never completing my work load - think I need to let myself actually finish the list before taking on anything else for once.
UHH so the TLDR of the TLDR sad times but getting better for me, or at least just adjusting. More art to come! Thank you all for sticking around, and welcome to anyone new who's dropped in recently!

Ignore my poor atempts at humor and referencing, I'm tired~
WELL I haven't done an update since the latter half of last year - whew a few things sure happened since then didn't they?
Like the FF7 remake! That was good...
Jokes aside I don't have whole lot to post about - everyone knows about the Covid-19 situation, eveyone knows the USA is yoyoing on it's response. Fortuantely the company I work for has had an alright response to it all, but it has seen me being rather slow over the recent months. Just mentally coping with it all, my quarantine was mostly a depressive spell of "man I'm upset I'm not doing more" and being more upset because of that. Negative feedback cycles are a bitch!
Back to work now: my state is not too affected, and hopefully my job stays that way with the precautions being taken?
We live in interesting times!
ANYWAY more a note just to say I am alive and a bot isn't posting images from me every now and then.
Also wanted to make a note about SuperBeast-themed commissions, because I have had a large number of DMs asking about them!
First I'd like to thank everyone for their support and love on the series - it was a refreshing excuse to draw some fancy clothes and control the process a little more towards what I want to draw personally (I've also been doing more personal art to break the cycle of "I only do commissions and can't think for myself).
But I just did 13 of them, and I burnt both ends of my candle trying to come up with unique outfits and posing. What started out as tanktops and tshirts quickly evolved in to elaborate jackets and hoodies, replicating complicated patterns and text over stretched and torn fabric. It was fun! But I'm feeling the tug a little now. Rather than keep going and burn out on these I'm taking a break for a few months while I get back to a working routine with my dayjob, focus on some other projects and personal work (I have a new themed set of commissions in the works!)
So all you hopeful models, what does that mean for you?
Hold out for future openings, they'll come as YCHs or custom designs.
I WON'T be taking them among regular commissions.
And I won't be taking them by folks asking, it'd be unfair to others trying to grab a slot.

Hey all!
I haven't forgotten about you here - been a rough month at my work, we had a major road open up nearby and our business has doubled (but our hours haven't). I've been frequently flying close to overtime, we've had people leave (because they're little babies), I've been filling in for sickness ('tis the season).
And now just as I'm catching my steam back up I catch a cold too! Bloody wonderful.
(Update, it was strep throat - whoopse! Just recovering from that shit now wheezzzeeee)
Need to remind myself to upload the mountain of stuff I have got finished - and for all you waiting on something I'm real sorry it's taken so long!

Womp womp one of those journals!
So right after taking on my queue I got Really Fucking Sick™
And thanks to some bad scheduling at work I had to slog through those days to pay my bills still.

Hey all,
Gonna level with you here, moving has been far more stressful and time-consuming than antiscipated.
For a while it left me very angry and very depressed.
Nothing was going right, it was one thing after another, my cat needed surgery, parts of the house weren't working, my work was being a bitch and scheduling me only for night time shifts, I wasn't sleeping well at all.
Lots of stuff, pushed me right out of various loops.
Been trying to get back in to art, fell off the saddle a few times I won't lie, think I've ran through each commission I currently have at least once, got mad at the result and deleted it all.
But I'm getting back - did a few personal pieces to help pick me up, took on a few small bust sketches to work on between comms. Small things to help ease me back in to the rhythm.
I want to thank all you lot out there for your patience, it's truly appreciated. Art is a very feeling-orientated craft, at least I find it to be, and I'd never want to give a poor end product. That said if anyone is truly unhappy refunds are always available up to the stage I'm at with your work.
Thanks again, sorry my life is so chaotic haha!

Hey all!
Been a busy month for me: first month at my new job and I've been covering a lot of shifts, making friends.
Admid all this we dipped our tow in the water on houses in the area, and through a bit of a whirlwind tour of shitty places falling apart and places out of our reach we found one, and our offer got accepted!
Between work, overtime and mediating a house purchase I've been kinda b u s y.
Not to mention that the internet at the place we're currently staying has been getting progressively more dire (I think it's partly my wireless adapter being shoddy, but the internet is genuinely shit) and other frustrations from those we're in immediate proximity of...
I want to say a big thank you for everyone who's been so patient with me here - I promise I'm making headway with commissions, it's just been a bit scattered due to sleepless nights, awful AC making me drowsy in the Alabama summer heat, and having most of my time called upon elsewhere.
You've all been so great and understanding - I know a lot of people follow me on twitter and see me ranting angrily/tired-ly about life.
Onwards and upwards - we may finally get a break from all the crap we've been enduring over the past few years~

Hey! Just so you're all aware I'm back to work now, landed a little full time job for some extra income!
Gets me out the house :v
This actually should be better for me art wise too; because I need my wife to come drop me off and pick me up from work I'll have 2-5 hours daily I'll be sat about with nothing but me and my tablet!
NOW, I would have done wayyyy more this week, but literally within the first week of being there I've caught a disgusting cold - not been the easiest thing to work through while trying to learn the job c':
I'll be back on track soon - between a death in the family last week, training, and this awful cold hitting in I've been dragging my ass on everything and trying to sleep most of my time at home to recover quickly.

A Note On "Make It Bigger" & Complex Commissions

Hey!
So I wanted to make a little note here on what sort of commissions I'll be taking in the future, more noteably hypermuscle stuff.
-A NOTE ON MUSCLE FETISH STUFF-
Recently when I've been getting anything through relating to muscle fetish-themed commissions there's a recurring theme of "can you do it like your last one but bigger", and I'm reaching the end of what I'm happy drawing. I keep finding myself stretching my anatomical limits, and puns aside it's becoming more of a chore than something fun to do at this point.
I feel I have to draw a line in the sand now and say that I'm not going to be drawing any bigger than what I've been doing recently; that is to say this size for example is my limit. Muscle growth and hugeness are my thing, but I'm not going to get in to the territory of pin-heads-on-boulders.
That's all I really have to say on the issue, there's people'll who'll go bigger than me, and who knows I may stretch my anatomy in the future again but for now I'm happy calling that my ceiling!
-A NOTE ON COMPLEX/SEQUENCE COMMISSIONS-
One thing the past few years have taught me is I REALLY don't deal well with complicated commissions: that is to say a hella lot of armor/background detail on multiple characters, and very long sequences. In light of this, to keep up with efficiency, my own happiness with my work, and to keep giving you lot a good end result, I may start rejecting anything that I feel will take me too long to create a desirable result.
In the past I've been wanting to push myself on complexity and detail, but I keep finding myself underwhelmed with the end result.
More than anything, no huge sequences! I may restrict sequences to YCHs in the future too? We'll see...
-IN SUMMARY-
Not gonna go bigger hypermuscle wise than I currently have been, might start rejecting super complicated commissions (that's really subject dependent though, feel free to still give me your ideas!), probably won't be accepting big or multi-character sequences unless it's in an easier format like flat coloured or below.
More sharing this so you lot can get a clearer idea of what you'll get the best results out of me with!

Moved, Settled, Back to Normal

Hey so I kinda dropped off the face of the Earth a little here~
Sorry about that, TLDR our hand was forced and we had to move waaaay earlier than we thought we would due to some nasty, toxic home environment at our house in Illinois.
1 week of trying to stay out the house as much as possible intially, 3 days of driving 10 hours back and forth, loading and offloading over 1000lbs of car parts and tools, all while both in the depths of a nasty cold, having to buy all new furniture (computer desks for a decent price are near on impossible to hunt down - desk chairs weren't though!), and finally getting set up. Today has been the first time in 4, nearly 5 months where we've felt settled and wanted, and been able to breathe finally. We took a few days off for a breather, to let the stress ease up and enjoy living outside of a shitty environment again.
So that's where I've been, again sorry for disappearing, it all happened pretty quickly and without us having all that much time to even think about what we were doing.
Back to normal now! Will be working on art in the coming weeks - re-learning how to draw on my cintiq after 4 months of it being in a box, ugh I need new tips for it already! Sitting in a freezing garage for all that time didn't do it much good.

Hey all,
Just a quick one to say sorry I've been kinda slow on the ole art recently.
Been having some family drama here, hopefully to be resoleved soon but it's REALLY putting me out of the art mood...

Marriage, MFF & More

Whew I'm bad at updating this!
So hey life's been a little stop/start for me recently!
Me and thecoyote officially got hitched on the 31st of October!
Yes Halloween haha we're children <3
Ceremony was on the 29th, was a small thing with familly, everyone loved our weird goth makeup and more biker/gothy getups for our wedding, we even had a brilliant skull & bloodspatter cake!
The remainder of the week was spent showing my folks from the UK around where Grave and I met for the first time in Alabama, a fun sort-of-honeymoon but involved a lot of coralling 3 foreigners around!
Since then we've been burried under paperwork: SSN, Bank, EAD, AOS, holy shit moving county is stressful and expensive c':
We've decided as a little break we're going to be socially visiting MFF on Thursday and a more formal day visit on the Saturday!
We're not staying overnight, we just forked out for a wedding and we live down the road from the venue!
Kind of copying the same format as a friend's for this but yes, we both draw, we'll both have our art supplies with us too personally I won't be taking like in person commissions because I'm mid list here, but if you're a mutual and you wanna swap the draw stuff I'm always down to scribble with folks! Can't answer for Grave, but she'll be bringing her sketchbook too
New folks are fun, but we'll probably hanging with people we know! We're not really huggy/intimate people so none of that unless we know you well - in other words, I do bite, and not in the good way, and that's not a challenge.
While we would like to hang around and have a few drinks as the evening goes on we don't plan on staying for anything too rowdy - won't be hollering from the balconys blind drunk. I drink, the lady drinks, but we won't be getting wasted.
In short: there Thur/Sat socially, not huggers, hanging with people we know, having a few drinks!
Oh and we don't fursuit so S H R U G - I'll borrow yours if you want someone tall to fill it out and act all goofy monster with it!

LAST JOURNAL DELETED BECAUSE THANKS PEOPLE FOR YOUR OPINIONS
I didn't spend a lot of time, effort and money to be challenged by people I don't know.
So yes, I'm moving out to my fiancee who lives in the USA.
And I'll be in the process of moving this week so uploads will be patchy.
I get it, there's issues out there, I'm fully aware, thanks.
Next time you're brewing up a comment to a stranger think about what you're saying yeah? Or maybe do some research.

State of Things / Big News

Hey guys! Been a hot minute~
Things may be a little slower than usual on my end for September/October, because me and 
FINALLY got our K1/Fiance visa approve by the US Government!!
I'll be moving over to the USA early October and we'll be making it all offical on the 31st (Halloween marriage yo)
Excited, nervous, busy, and on top of it all we're both having to work while planning my move over and our wedding arangements.
So what does that mean for you lot: Things are going to be stop/start for a while - I'll be busy some days and have nothing to do but draw on others - still got to find myself a new job when I move over, so art will be my only source of income for a period.
After that I'm unsure - but I stick to my work that if anyone's disatisfied with the time their commission takes I can refund them up to the point it's been completed to. (eg you paid for a celshade and ask to cancel after the sketch, you'll get refunded all but the cost of the sketch, same applies if I'd finished the lineart, you'd get all but the lineart cost back - it's all there on my price sheet's refund policy)
So that's my news! Comm openings will be infrequent and with no real regular structure, but what's new!

Sorry about that! Didn't realize how much I had waiting to go up~
Just a quick one to let you know I'm still alive - would have opened up for new commissions on here but the 3 slots got snapped up in the half hour I left it up on twitter! ;A;
I think next time I'll open up on FA specifically first - feel like I leave this crowd hanging too often~
So update time: my life is hectic as my visa process is drawing to the final bosses - interview and medical all scheduled before the end of next month aaaaaaaa! There's a £1k hole in my pocket from visa fees ;___;
Other than that it's business as usual, work is dull, video games happen, I occasionally cook weird things, and am forever tired because I sleep like shit~
Trialing out a new look for lineart and celshading - you'll see it in my recent uploads! Probably going to swap to it full time now because I'm really enjoying drawing with more line weight variance and not having to kill my wrist with tonnes of fur patterning that didn't really look all that nice~

Ups, Downs & Parting Gifts

Hell it has been a crazy year hasn't it?
Political craziness in the two countries I'm inbetween, falling out and reconnecting with friends, stress from work and family.
Loss and gain.
Thursday last week my partner Grave told me our dog Brandon was having trouble getting up and in pain, while sent home with the standard pain medication and told to come back if he stayed the same we all attributed it to just him starting to get old and being a bit of a house dog. By saturday, he'd lost the use of his lower body and the decision was made to have him put down.
Grave's lost her best friend who'd been with her for a long number of years, I've lost someone who made me feel like real family. Dogs don't live as long as us, and if something goes wrong it's not always as easy to fix... can't tell a dog to sit still and mend. It's a big blow, we're dealing with it, had some nice words from friends but time's going to be the only real thing that helps with recovery.
Funny how life works though, the first step of our marriage visa was approved yesterday too... kind of like a parting gift from our dear friend.
Just keeping the world update on my little bubble - I'm not sure how to feel today.
