Long story short, Im back
General | Posted 13 years agoHey everyone, Im back. Most of you who know me already know this but I figure I make a post about it in my journal just to say whats up.
So I figure I'd give another update...
General | Posted 15 years agoBlag I suck at these things. I log into fa almost everyday but don't do nuthin on my site. Just a quick rundown of my life though, I work for sprint now, woohooo! Got a sweet Samsung Galaxy S phone as apart of its benefits. The job is hard but its worth it. I'm living on my own again, woooot! I also fianlly got me that sweet G&G L85A2 airsoft rifle, with scope! So I'd say life is going pretty fucken awsome right now.
That might change soon as how I'm seeking military enlistment, I have wanted to persue that kind of career sense like.... forever.
Fyi and I'm a little embarrssed to ask this, but I am seeking to get myself another balloonie commission, so anyone who likes drawing this stuff, gimmie a hollar. And yes $$$ will be involved for your work. I'm seeking to spend at most $20 dollars but I am negeoatable.

General | Posted 16 years agoSee what'd I tell ya guys, what'd I tell ya? Im friggen bogus at keeping sites like these updated. Maybe I'm a man of few words or something. Well I figure I may as well make an update about myself anywho....
It looks like I'll be getting a new job soon, hurray! Its another customer service job at a call center so that part wont be too fun but it'll be nice to have a money income again. I think that one of the 1st things I will get is a new airsoft rifle. I got a friend whos selling me a G&G L85 Rifle with a SUSAT scope on it. Any of that not make sense? Well, lets just say that its a nice gun and it's one of those cool rifles where the magazine is behind the trigger instead of front, and the scope is really nice, the gun also has artifical recoil on it to give it that life like feel. Oooohh its a sweet gun indeed.
Im going to try to do some more writing, mainly cause a particular Captain of mine is pestering me about it. :p What just sucks is that I'll have these ideas and my mind goes blank at what words I should form.
Of course I've been playing more video games. Lately I picked up Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker for the PSP and holy moly does that game show what a PSP can do! I love it when games do that. As far as how the actual game goes, well I think it plays pretty well. You play like any other Metal Gear game, or thats to say it plays more like Metal Gear Solid 4 only in the sense that when you aim you weapon, its fired from over the shoulder instead of first person. By default you use the face buttons to aim your weapon, left trigger to aim, and right trigger to fire if that helps give any perspective. It works out pretty well for the game. How's the story? Well, its not as friggen overwhelming as MGS2 and MGS4 I'll tell ya that, plus the nice thing too is that there's no unexplained supernatural hog wash this time around. The story still feels like a Metal Gear story that you'll love or hate, bad guys have a mech that launches nukes etc.... etc... But I'm glad I don't have to see any weird stuff that makes it feel more like I'm watching a anime cartoon. The cutscenes are not as excessively long as other games but I really wish there was a pause button for them because sometimes they do drag over for over like 10 minutes, maybe. They are also done in animated comic book style which looks rather nice.
Anywho, there's not much else to talk about for me, Im gonna try to get some writing done but I cant promice at how soon that will be.

So Im at one of these furcon things.
General | Posted 16 years agoSo here I am at a Radison Hotel for a thing called the "Ellitott's Spring Gather" for 2010. It's saturday morning right now and it's 6:27 AM EST, I slept in late and woke up early. I cant go back to sleep so I decided to pick up my netbook companion and explore around. I admit I have never ever suspected myself to be at such a thing like this. I suppose this is considered a convention or maybe just a big grouping of people with a similar interest. Of course that similar interest being furries.
I'm glad that I was able to attach myself to a group, I suppose that's easy when I was the transportation for one fella going by the name of Seth-something something (sorry I never caught the full name). If I was flying solo I would have probably left early and played some video game by the title of Red Dead Redemption (Beautiful game BTW). I still consider myself a FNG, aka a Fucken-New-Guy, to this sort of hobby, fandom, interestest, whatever. So far I'm just seeing a bunch of fellas that're a bunch of goofballs who are just interested in having a good time, which is what should be done at such a place like this. I admit a while ago I would have considered me not being able to function interacting with these people because I thought the hobby was strange. As I walk around and talk to these people, I discover that these people are well.... People, and really that's not so strange. I do admit that these fellas talk a little more perverted but I think that's not even as bad as the calibur of my 4 roommates who say some horrible inneundo every other breath (love those guys as brothers but gah dayum).
One thing that seems rather bazzare to me is that there's a lot of touching, pokes, rubs, snuggles, whatever the hell the term is called. I'm a rather reclusive bastard who keeps a small bubble of personal space to him so I just found that strange as I see poeple just do it so willingly. This by all means is not harmful in anyway and if you most know the details, most of these touching interactions was done to the stomach and back. All of it rather harmless and nothing excessive. That's about the weirdest thing to me at this gather. Are fursuits strange to me? Meh, it's a costume, people dress in costumes at conventions so how's this any different?
So to maybe give a play-by-play of what actually went on at this grouping on Friday? I introduce myself headstrong-ish . Meeting new people I find to be a challenge and I'll try to break the ice by telling who I am and giving a polite handshake. Granted I didnt do this to everyone I met, just the guys that interacted with this possie that I'm with. Once we got everyone (6 total) gathered and set up, we made our way to a family amusement park called Fun-Spot. There's mostly go-cart rides and other things, its kinda like a permament carvnival with a arcade and a mini-gold course. We spent most our time in the arcade with $20 dollars worth of tokens where I got to proudly show off my mad Time Crisis 3 skillz (I even used both machines to play >:) ) but we had other stuff done like pool, and then the minature golf itself. I scored a hole-in-one at one of the sets, BOOYEAH and became a cheating bastard at some of the others :p Toured some of the other rides there but most our time was spent at the arcade.
Next we get back to the hotel, I do a lotta talking to folks getting to know these guys better. I cant elaborate much more on that, it's what people do when people are grouped up with people. (Notice possibly a theme in post?) I talked alot about video games which is totally my top hobby, video gaming has a hold on me and my soul. So once I get rolling about games and stuff, I keep on go-in.
Next up we had a free movie ticket to go see the 4th Shrek movie, fun and funny movie. We went to a 3D Imax studio filled up with furry fans. Uhhhhh.... Yeah, we all went to see a movie, all like 200 of us. Sorry, dunno what else I can say.
We go back to the hotel and talk some more, goof off, get food etc..., the gathering has some arcade they bought in filled with PS3's, Wii's and various that I visted only a few times in between the times we stayed at the hotel. Heh, sadly no 360's (I'm one of those 360's jerks ) where around and I felt a wee bit alienated about that but it's no biggie.
This touching thing I mentioned I expressed to one fella who happen to found a really sensative spot by my ribs, so now I gotta keep my side's covered when I'm around before I get assaulted with no mercy, lulz & all that jazz. Things wound down and went to bed.
Im not sure if I'm I'll give another review for today, knowing my habits on this site, but I just wanted to say in advance. Jori, Seth, Charles and Shadow, Ziaier (Z-man), thank you for having me along, and things have been great. I also got to meet a guy who I've been chatting it up alot on the IRC by the name of Glendening, been a blast meeting ya finally.

A little bit about myself.
General | Posted 16 years agoOkay, here's another feeble attempt at to try to make this FA page of mine more interesting. I just dont find myself very good at maintaining these sort of sites.
So my wee ole name fursona name is Dgore and does he reflect my personality 100%. No, not really, Dgore is more of a character I role play as. Some times kinky (we're on a bit of a fetish site afterall), some times not. The Dgore fursona does reflect a part of me though, that story can be said true for any character you may pretend to be. I dont believe I really am some dragon that breathes ice (that would be cool though, dah-dum-dish!) but if I was, it would probably be a lot like Dgore. Some of my experiences I've had in life reflect off of Dgore too, my profile notes that Dgore is a engineer. While I personally dont consider myself that, I do a lot of repair work. It's something I inherited from my father who is just a repair man at heart for anything, when we both see something broken, we have to take it apart and see what the problem is, even if we dont know anything about it.
So other things about me, I'm a crazy hoo-ha for video games. I <3 video games, both old and new. My very first video game ever was Space Invaders. I actually dont like that game very much but that was the one to start the dark path of my video gaming. When I was growing up I was in a awkward spot from the rest of the kids in school, while they had Nintendos and played in 8bit glory, I was playing on the PC where I had games, first on EGA graphics and then VGA and games I did where complicated. Star Wars X-Wing had so many buttons that you had to use all over the keyboard and you flew around in full 360 degree movement, I practiced and played that game for hours to be an Alliance ace and in my growing up I just kept playing more simulators about flying F-15's, F-16's and many other fighter jets plus I went on a mad crazy hunt to get all 9 Wing Commander games. Adventure games being a major stepping stone for me as well as I would play so many Lucas Art and Sierra point and click adventures, there are also so many games I played that where shareware from Epic Mega Games before they got bit on their Unreal series. So, while everyone else I knew had Sonic and Mario as their idols, I had King Gram and Colonel Christopher Blair as my digital heros back in ye olde days. You may also note that my favorate video game is Deus Ex, OH GOD YES! That game showed me that video games can be an art and it is quite possibily the best video game I have ever played and it still holds onto that title for me. I also am just such a huge sucker for Tom Clancy titles, both by Red Storm Entertainment and now Ubisoft. There's just something that touches me about those games, I like the thrilling themes they have about high tech modern warfare that borderlines almost to sci-fi. Most Tom Clancy games too are games that make you think. Take for example, when you play a Rainbow Six game, opening a door and how you open that door is a big deal, because if you open that door the wrong way, BAM, game over.
Currently I am very much enjoying Splinter Cell Conviction, it's different than most of the other games of the series, but I suggest to fans to check it out, the story is a thrill ride and it's still a stealth action game, just faster. If you're a fan of Batman Arkam Asylum I would also recommend checking it out as the stealth elements are more similar to that game..
Okay, big ole wall of text about video games, heh. So sense I mentioned some stuff about fighter planes and Tom Clancy titles, I admit I do like a lot of military stuff, but I'm not sure if I would be one to enlist, which honestly makes me feel a bit shameful. If I was to join I would probably go into the Air Force, I <3 me air planes but the path Im taking doesnt lead to much of a career in the military. I orignally wanted to be a fighter pilot but there are some physical limitations that prevent me from doing that. It's a pipe dream at being a pilot as it's very demanding but I dont even got what it takes to go in as one immedately. I also am still in school right now completeing my Digital Media degree. Maybe I'll sign up once I complete my degree, my plan is to finish school first and then maybe sign up.
So with that whole thing about the army and stuff leads me to another hobby I enjoy doing so much. Airsoft! As a quick summary, airsoft is like paintball except I use plastic pellits with realistic looking guns as opposed to paintball guns. I dress up in some basic camo's but Im more practical and dont carry around with me the big tactical vests or wear helmets (but I do wear boonie hats). All I need is my gun, and ammo. I play rather agressive and my roles are usually recon or medic. I like to travel to spots that others wont dare go though, let crossing though rivers that soak my knees or dig into tunnels. I get very messy when it comes to playing that.
As far as any artistic talents go, I like to write and do have some talent in 3D modeling but my 3D skills are wavered right now and I need practice, and I will once this school term is up. (which is in 2 days by the way) I havent made any submissions here yet but I havent gotten anything that I would feel thats appropiate to the site yet. I've had my FA up for time but never worked on it because I orignally just wanted to use it to browse all the artwork, I dislike censorhip. So, that's all I got for now. Thank ye kinkly for reading about myself and checking out my own little corner of FA.
