I've never seen the issue with cliques. I know many people speak against them for one reason or another but... I never really feel like the reasons really moved my opinions towards being against cliques at all.

I see it a lot with artists. Artists making cliques among themselves, and people being upset that they can't get "into the clique" or something. You don't know the artist. You don't know their likes and dislikes... and I really feel like you only want to be friends with the artist because of their art. So you dislike cliques because you're jealous, not because cliques are actually bad?

My own clique grows and shrinks over the years, depending on interests. Sometimes people stick around but there is just radio silence from them for a while because they went into a fandom I cannot follow due to lack of interest- then they come back. I grew attached to them all over mutual interests- that's how friendships are born after all. I mean, you wouldn't keep someone around if you had 0 interest in them, right?

Having a group of friends is normal, and not wanting to venture out of that friend group on the demands of a stranger just seems fine to me.

How do you feel when artists do PWYWs? (Pay What You Want)

Personally I tend to steer clear of them because I'm always worried that like... what if I think 20 dollars is reasonable, and they're sitting here like 'man I really thought I deserved at LEAST 30'... and whether or not they do think that, I still talk myself into some terrible worry.

What if I want art from them and I accidentally underpay?
What if I want art from them and I underpay because I don't have the money to pay them what I feel they should be paid?
What if they start underselling themselves because I don't pay a good amount??

I know a lot of people do this (And at times I do this, though I tend to keep it to friends who know me very well and who trust I'm actually keeping to what I say). I know the people who do this do not mean anything malicious in any way! I'm sure you mean it in a kind, uplifting, and earnestly wistful way. You want whatever is being offered, and you can't have it, so you want the artist to know that HEY! If I had the money, omg, I'd TOTALLY get this!

...But then... you say that. And the next comment says that. And the next comment says that. It comes down to:

You: MAN I wish I had money
Artist: So do I, that's why I put this up :B

Not all artists, but some put up adopts/art already feeling negative. They need money for X, Y, Z, and they're opening up or putting up whatever trying to get money. Then they have a number of people saying they're also poor, and it comes off feeling, 'What's the point of doing this? No one will pay me, no one can pay me...' and sometimes illogical feelings play a part and that turns to, 'They're all just trying to be nice and just don't want to tell me I'm not worth the money and time'.

Try to refrain from saying, 'I wish I had the money, I'd--'. Compliment the art instead, or wish the artist luck, or say something positive, try to avoid negative.

So I'm curious. Have y'all ever gotten any dumb/weird comments on FurA, or just dumb things in general on here?

Example: Raptorslut had someone comment on a picture of her fursona how hot she was, and despite being corrected that that wasn't her, and just her fursona, they continued to comment on her attractiveness, and proceeded to badger her through notes.

I apologize for not writing up a Thanksgiving holiday journal for the StarDragons. A campus cop, Officer Collin Rose, was shot and killed over the holiday break. The murderer was thankfully caught and has already gone on trial I believe, but the incident had taken most of my attention (And my class had gotten involved with the candlelight vigil that had been held for him), and things slipped my mind :(

Recently there's been another shooting near campus so I'm sort of on pins and needles but. I'll hopefully get something written up next year (Or I'll do Thanksgiving and Christmas when Christmas comes around)
