So I called out from work. Again. This is like...my fifth absence. I really can't miss any more days or I'm going to be fired. But right now, I'm regretting taking this job at Wal-Mart. Because it's in another city. It's almost an hour drive each way to go to work. And I'm sick of the drive.
So I'm trying to find something more local. Which means applying again, like crazy. Uhg.

It took a while to hammer out his details because I woke up and some things were fuzzy about him.
First off, he's a deer/otter hybrid. So cute, right?!
Where Lyxian's birthday is April 18th, 1988, his birthday is October 17th, 1994.
His face is more otter-like, though he doesn't have the small beady eyes an otter has. His eyes are big and beautiful. His right eye is green and his left eye is blue. (His right and left, not my right and left. I was unclear with that on Lyxian and nearly messed everybody up with Lyxian, lol).
His fur is a navy blue. And he has a shimmery gold stripe on each thigh diagonally moving down towards his knee. His feet are hooves, a dark tan in color, almost edging on black. His right ear, down to his back to his tail has another shimmery gold stripe. His tail is like a deer tail, only it's a bit longer. About two feet, I'd guess. His fingers end in curved little claws that are good for opening up clams. Which he loves to death. He is definitely an omnivore, though, and loves a good salad, too. Make him one with fried clams on it and he'll love you for life.
He's very mature for his age. While he enjoys a good joke like anyone else, he's usually pretty serious. That isn't to say he doesn't smile. He smiles quite a lot, and is friendly, but he tends to be serious about things.
Oh, he also has budding antlers. Just tiny ones, just barely there. They haven't branched out at all yet. Can't believe I almost forgot to include that in this description ><.
He has a string and bell he wears around his tail that his mother gave him. Just a small little silver bell on a leather string.
His name is Aivato.

Okay, so I stayed with Wal-Mart. The interview at Kroger's was only an interview, not a job offer. And I was supposed to call back the following week, but I choseyw to stay with Wal-Mart. A decision that I am not regretting...at the moment.
So I started out in TLE (Tire Lube Express). But due to a safety issue, I'm in the process of being moved to a cashier position.
What happened was, I was driving a car onto a lift, so the tires could be balanced and rotated. Well, it was a wet, rainy day, and when I accelerated to get the car on the lift, the tires spun. I hit the brake, and once the tires stopped, I apparently let go of the wheel, to show the guys that I had stopped the car. Well, they called that a safety issue and started the process of trying to move me to cashier.
I am operating registers, but my job code is still for TLE, and they're having difficulty changing it because I'm a temporary. However, they are desperate to keep me. They had three cashiers quit the day before Mother's Day!! Yes, it was hectic, but nothing to quit over! Anyway...they're awfully short on cashiers as it is, so...I'm thinking what they're going to do, so that they can change my job code, is offer to take me on permanently. Which would be awesome~~. So wish me luck, because the other option is that they have to purge me from the system, a thirty day process in which I'd be unemployed. Yeah, that would be sucky.

So.
I did indeed get offered the TLE position at Wal-Mart yesterday. And I accepted it.
But then yesterday evening, I got a phone call for an interview at Kroger's.
I accepted that interview.
I totally love Kroger's. Yes, on some things, it's more expensive. But they have a better selection of hard-to-find items. Like specialty sauces. For example, Hoisin sauce. Maybe I'm a little snooty for loving Kroger's like I do, but so be it.
Anyway, if they offer me a position with similar or better hours, and/or similar or better pay, then I'm going to accept the position, call Wal-Mart, and tell them I've decided on something better. Plus, Kroger's is a couple of miles closer to where I currently live, and is very close to the two apartment complexes I'm looking at for moving.
But for some reason, I feel nervous about all of this. I mean, either way it goes, I'll still have a job. But I still feel nervous. Weird, right?

So I'm looking for opinions on my current situation. Please, please post with your opinion. It will be greatly appreciated.
I currently reside in Franklin. I'm going to be moving to Bowling Green within the next three months. Bowling Green and Franklin are half an hour apart.
I attended a job fair in Franklin today for Flying J (gas station). It went very well, and they are hiring for all three of their locations here in Franklin. There is high potential that I will be offered a position with them.
The head of housekeeping at the nursing facility my mother works at is trying to offer me a position there as well. I turned in my application this morning, and he is already in the process of running a background check. He said that after that, he'd get me in there for an interview.
I have an interview in Bowling Green tomorrow at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart typically offers their positions during the interview process. As I understand it, it would be a temporary position doing Tire Lube Express. This is a position that I doubt I will enjoy. And, again, it is temporary, but has potential to become full time based on my work performance.
My questions that I want opinions on are:
Should I take this position at Wal-Mart knowing that it is temporary (meaning it'll expire around the time I want to move), and knowing that I'm going to be struggling with gas money for the first few weeks?
Should I refuse this position, and bank on Flying J and the nursing facility coming through for me, even knowing that I'll be moving within three months and having to commute half an hour to work every day?

So the fast food place called me a job hopper, and the grocery store decided on other applicants for the position I was interviewed for. But I had an interview at a movie store on Thursday, and I'm supposed to hear if they want to move me forward in the interview process today, so...wish me luck on that. Also, I'm going to be attending a job fair on Tuesday, so there's that, too.

So.
I'm not moving back to Clarksville.
But I am still moving out. I'm just moving out to someplace in Franklin.
I had two interviews today. I've already gone to one, and I have less than two hours until the next one. The first one went pretty well. It was at a local regionally-owned grocery store. I should know something about that one within the next week and a half.
The second one is at a fast food place. I'll probably get on there, and then, if I get the one at the grocery store as well, then I'll work the schedules around each other, so I can work both jobs.
Also, I have a prospect as to where I may be moving. I'll know more, hopefully, within the next week or so.

So here's what's going on:

1. I got fired from Georgia Pacific for calling out for one day. Yeah, not really happy about that. Uhg.
2. My new laptop quit working. Pretty sure it's the hard drive. Not happy about that either.
3. Had a small row with my mom's on-again, off-again boyfriend. I'm moving back down to Clarksville, TN.
4. I'm working on getting a job in Clarksville. I'm going down tomorrow for a job fair, and I'm also working on contacting family members to see if they can help me get a job down there.
5. On the really plus side of moving, besides getting to see one of my besties, and family I haven't seen in a good while, I'll be able to attend meetings that go on in Clarksville. Like, I've noticed from the TN Furs forum that there are a lot of meets that go on around Fort Campbell.
6. I'm probably going to go back to Austin Peay to do my culinary degree. I dunno. Work (if I get this job at the job fair tomorrow) and school will be on complete opposite sides of town.
7. Just wish me luck, kay, guys? I need it. I have to get out of this house. There's too much going on to tell all of you about and really, I've been highly uncomfortable here for a long time now.

BUT THAT'S OKAY!
Why?
Because the temp agency sent me to Georgia Pacific, on night shift, still working 12 hour shifts.
Why is this so good? Because I earn $9.50 an hour!
Why is $9.50 an hour so good? Because it's a $1.50 more an hour than I was earning at Sun.
So fuck you Sun. Keep your laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Keep your nasty snide comments about me being too slow. I was moving fast enough, whether you want to admit it or not. And Georgia Pacific has no problem with me. They like me. They're worried about running me off because they're worried the job might be too taxing on me. No such thing, though. It's easy-peasy. Unlike you, Sun! So keep your lousy $8 an hour job. I got something better.

So there's been a lot going on with me. A lot-a lot.

First off, I sold my laptop for gas money. I miss it, but I will be getting a relatively new one in the future.

Secondly, I've started working again, through a temp agency, at Sun Products. They make laundry detergent! I get to come home smelling extra clean every day!

Third, I'm working on going back to school. I was on academic suspension, but it looks like my request to go back has been approved. I should have the letter soon, and will be able to go back for online classes during the Summer semester.

Finally, I'm a spiritual person. Not necessarily religious--but spiritual, definitely. I've felt a definite guiding hand in all that I have done recently, and feel happy to know that I'm following the right path. Even if I'm breaking my back at work, and am worried about how I'm going to pay for school once my pell grants and loans run out (because I've used up a lot of them already), I know that this is what I'm meant to be doing, and that everything will somehow turn out alright in the end.

Now that I've typed all that out...it doesn't seem like so much has been going on with me. ...But it has! I swear it has! Anyway, that's all for now. Ja bye-bye!

...So...it was an okay day. Despite the fact that I found out this morning that I didn't get that job I was wanting. I mean, I agonized for two weeks and I had to find out that they mailed me a letter saying I didn't get the job. Really? Double-U-Tee-Eff, people.
So...I give up. For now. I have other prospects. Prospects I probably won't see anything out of until the end of the year, but...meh.

But yeah, other than that, it was actually an okay day, despite that bad news and my mother being sick. So...that's all!

So I'm sitting here eating sugar free peanut butter wafers and drinking Diet A&W rootbeer, feeling pretty satisfied with the day.
No, I still haven't gotten a call from ShopNBC. But if I don't hear something by Friday, Imma call them.
But I did get some laundry done.
And I did a load of dishes.
And made dinner.
And consolidated 14 packages down to 5 boxes to ship off to that guy tomorrow.

Here's where I get nervous. The guy sent me a money order for $250. I cashed it, which cost $3. Then I gave my mom $40 for gas, bought dinner for 5 people which cost about $50, bought cigarettes for everyone (I'm the only one that doesn't smoke), and soda, and candy. That was another $40. Long story short, I have $112 left to ship these five packages and I'm nervous as hell that it's not going to be enough, and the guy is going to get pissed, because he'll have to wait till next Friday, January 25th, for me to ship out his packages. That's when my mom gets paid next, and when we'll have extra money.
I didn't mean to go overboard with the money...and I didn't expect dinner to cost so much. And I shouldn't have bought the candy, but I had money, and I like to do things for my brothers.
I feel bad. And I'm going to feel worse if I can't afford to send these packages out.
And irresponsible, too.

So...it was a group interview. With two other people. Small group, amiright?
One girl wasn't even really there to interview for the position. She stated clearly that her interest was in the at-home agent position.
We were asked a couple of questions each, which I think I answered well.
But I did have some pauses when asked questions.
But I'm also the only one that asked questions.
Anyway, we were all given cards to go online and submit our information for a background check, and a tour of the call center section of the facility.
It's nice.
...I'm supposed to know if I get a second interview next week. Probably will know Monday or Tuesday.

Rant journal!

I stayed up all night. I know, I know, shame on me, but I did it, okay?

I went to bed this morning and was just passing out when my alarm went off for me to take my brothers to school.
I came back, dealt with my mother fussing, laid down. Falling asleep when the mail ran and more boxes for that guy in New York arrived.
So got up, received them, and cataloged their contents. Laid down and was falling asleep when I get a text from my mom's boyfriend's ex-wife that she needs the boyfriend to call her.
So get up, take phone to the boyfriend, stay there for a ten minute phone call, then go back to bed.
Falling asleep again when this time, she calls to talk to him. So take the phone back to him for another ten minute conversation. Then lay back down, start falling asleep, when the brother in college and out on break gets up and starts blasting music.
Okay, so I adjust to that after a couple of hours and start falling asleep when my phone rings again. It was the guy with the packages. So I gave up on sleep.
Now I have to go do cleaning, because why? No one else will.
