So, first things first... I'm so incredibly thankful for the time to spend with my loved ones, and the fact that we can enjoy one anothers company and exchange gifts! <333

Tho... To be honest, this Christmas doesn't feel... Right? I dunno, there's been a lot of shit going on the past year, and as much as I want to, it's hard to pretend none of it happened, even if only for the sake of a day or two. But... Again, I'm very thankful for what I have both with companion wise and material wise.

I don't like just listing off what I got for Christmas, but I'm quite pleased with what my family gave me! :) I got an external hard drive, some clothes (Including a VERY awesome Scott Pilgrim shirt~), an 8GB flash drive, new headphones (Which are HUGE and purple, ftw <3) and some other little things. <3 Again, so very thankful for everything I got.

Hey everyone!
Sorry for being fairly... Not here. Artwise, at least! XD; still tabletless, tho that should change tomorrow... Fingers crossed! * 3*;;; I haven't been doing a lot of art save for the past week, due to stress. ;-;
For me, most stress does not come from school, considering the fact that I'm not only keeping up, but enjoying it! c: I do have 6 exams up coming from the 9th to the 16th, then I'm done! WOO! Excited, I love holidays and such, I'll get to sleep in (Which will be AMAZING considering the fact that I wake up at just before 6am every morning. x_x)
Stress has been coming from peoples, namely 2 but y'know... I'm dealing with it for now. A couple of you guys *might* know what's happening, but for the most part I kind of want to keep the details private.
In other news~
As you can see from my newest upload... I'm cosplaying again! First time in what feels like (And probably is) forever! I have my Knives cosplay done for the XMas meet going on at the mall on the 22nd, and my comic themed New Years Eve party. CX TOO EXCITE!
So... Yus! Despite me FINALLY having a tablet after around 2 months without one, don't expect a whole lot of art from me until after my exams, jus' sayin'!

It's fairly old and it was REALLY cheap... So I'm gonna be buying a new one soon! As much as I'd love either one of http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/ those, I'm realistically I'm going after http://www.wacom.com/intuos/medium.php that. I was considering the large, but the medium is still bigger then my laptop, haha! The large is nice, but it wouldn't fit in my laptop bag or anything, which would be a HUGE pain in the ass.

So yeah, for now expect some traditional art (If anything) for the the next few weeks to a month...

So... Just a nice update in time for Thanksgiving.
Some things I'm thankful for...
The people who love me and I love back, of course! This includes my family (Duh) and my wonderful friends, who without I seriously don't think I'd be as far as I am in my life. Thank you so much, I owe you guys everything <3
I'm so very thankful for my health, even tho it's not the best. I can still wake up and walk around and laugh and enjoy my life everyday, so it's more then what a lot of people can say. It makes me so sad to know others are suffering so severely from medical issues... My heart goes out to them.
My dad was in a minor car accident on... Thursday, and I am SO fucking thankful for the fact that only the car was damaged. I don't think I'd know what to do with myself if *KNOCK ON WOOD* anything had happened to my dad. The car's in bad shape, but it can get fixed.
I'm thankful for my talents and abilities, from the simple abilities to seeing, walking, laughing, etc to being able to draw, sew, do origami, ride a bike, and so on. Sometimes I need to be more thankful for things that others will never be able to experience or do.
I'm very thankful for my house which while it's old, it's warm when it's cold out and keeps the weather off of my head. I hope that someday everyone will have a roof over their heads, but for now I continue to make my monthly donations to charities and hope for them so much!
I'm thankful for where I live, despite how much I want to move away. Canada is such a lovely, free country and even with some political issues, I can vote for who I want without a gun to my head, and I can live here knowing that even though I'm a sort of second generation Canadian, I'm accepted and loved (Overall) by my country. In Newfoundland, I'm thankful I live in such a peaceful province. We had our very first actual tropical storm, and we never have earthquakes or tornadoes or anything.
I'm thankful for my college, which might sound weird or whatever but it gives me something to get out of bed everyday for and something to strive towards. It's proving to be a WONDERFUL experience, from the actual program to the amazing friends I'm making.
I guess... I'm thankful for my life. Not just actually being alive (Which obviously I'm thankful for XD) but the fact that I have the drive and motivations and abilities to live it to the fullest.

Hm, it's been almost a month since my last journal, geeze!

Just a quick update about college; I'm enjoying it! The work load is a bit different from what I was expecting, but still a bit much since it's been a while since I was in school. XD

It's going well tho! My program is fairly small (16-17 people) and all the teachers are nice and funny, albeit one is a bit intimidating. X3;;; I'm hoping that we can all be buddies, we already have plans to go out today for lunch after school, and we're all looking forward to the pub crawls, haha!

So... Another update.

I feel like death.

XD;

Like... I'm always tired, no matter how much I sleep or don't sleep or whatever... I always have a cough and stuffy nose/sore throat, my tonsils seem to be permanently swollen... According to my blood test results, my white blood cell count is low and lowering, and after my most recent of the past 7 in two months, I'll know about my blood sugar levels, and if anything is wrong with my thyroids. I have an ultrasound scheduled for the new year, the soonest they could see me, just to see what's going on with me. I guess... Not like any of you guys need to know, but I haven't had my "monthly gift" in nearly 16 months now. At first I just assumed it'd go back to normal but... No such luck. I'm really worried...

And of course, all of this is cropping up RIGHT before college, which starts up for me the first week of September. It's not only my first time in a college, but my first time back to school in over a year! I'm worried over everything... My classmates, whether or not I'll preform well, and for the first time in my LIFE, I fear that my colorblindness will hold me back. Not a nice feeling, to say the least.

In preparation for college, I have been pushing myself creatively. Even if it doesn't seem like a lot, it's literal leaps and bounds for me. Inspiration is... Barely there, as is my motivation for anything outside of my head (Specifically, I'm sorry to all those waiting on pieces from me, again.) and even then, I find it a bit hard. As with my art, my roleplay has been suffering. I find if I'm not calm in my own mind, I tend to cast my fears and worries and such onto my characters, which is frustrating in of itself. Many of my OCs do NOT fret abut their health or income or anything... Yet, whenever I write as them, I apparently unnerve them to the point of being out of character.

Uhm... Yeah. Basically it. So my activity may dwindle a fair bit this year, just a warning...

work! I'm preeetty sure my coworkers think I'm dying. Cx I was there for 5 days, off for a week with tonsillitis, then back for... A day and a half. Then off for like, a week again with mono! Pffffft. ;;;Cx

I'm FINALLY off all my meds, so I went from... 3, to 8, to NONE! NONE NONE NONE! First time in almost a year that I don't have to wake up and down a couple chalky tablets! It's so little, but to me, it just means... A lot! idk I guess, but shhh, let me have my moment. ;;;Cx

But, because I'm off my stomach meds, I have to be SUPER careful about what I eat. Nothing high acidity, no tomatoes, spicy foods, too much salt, etc. I don't mind tho, if anything, this can help me lose a bit of weight!

Let's see... As for my big buy this year (Every summer I save up and buy something for myself at the end XD) I'm gonna try my darnedest save up 600-700$ for part of the cost of... A new laptop! Yes, I've settled on that, FINALLY. I'm gonna be going to Chip's boyfriend's shop, and getting that new HP touchsmart tablet laptop, with an upgraded processor. It's gonna be my new baby! I was originally eyeing up a Cintiq tablet, for around 1000$, but I can get the laptop for 950$! So, obviously, going with the laptop. I'll even be able to use it for gaming! C:

With art, I've been pushing myself to improve with my digital coloring skills, even if it's not that obvious. cx A lot of it is sort of... Trial and error, since I am colorblind I find following tutorials difficult. :c

Er, and a thank you note for Timidus and Chip and Bolt! You three are my best friends, and it means the world to me how much you guys care for me, and how kind you are to me, and how much you put up with me. CCx I really don't say it enough, but I do appreciate it! <333

So, I've been in and out of the hospital twice now, because during work yesterday, I noticed my face and neck broke out in hives! I figured it was just an allergic reaction to some pollen or whatever, but I went home. Once home and after I grabbed a shower, I noticed the rash spread all down my arms and chest. I went to the hospital and got bloodwork done, and... I have mono.

FUN FUCKING TIMES.

It would explain why I've been so sickly/tired since forever ago, but still.

So now I'm on... Steroids and some allergy medication to help with the rash and new antibiotics in case I have bacteria or something, and I need to just... Chill out for a while.

Bleh.

For those of you who have me on FB, I am better! For those of you who don't, I had tonsillitis. XD I'm still on the meds for it until... The 11th? But for the most part I can talk, breath, sleep on my side and best of all, I can almost breathe through my nose! 8D;;;

Exciting, I know.

Whenever I'm on new meds, I have to stop my ulcer meds cause they could potentially shag up the newer ones, and after talking to my doctor and a couple friends, I've decided to quit my stomach meds. This will not only help with some uhh, issues I've had (Er, sorta personal, sorry XD) and it should make it easier for me to lose weight! C: BIG thing for me, I'm sick and tired of being overweight. I'm going on a diet (As in no more junk, and just eating healthier), since I already exercise a fair bit. (It's 30 minutes home>work and then another 30 work>home, plus bike rides after work!) I've also upped how much water I drink, so I hope that this should work. c:

As for art... I have been drawing, one piece for a few days now. Cx I just want it to be REALLY nice, and I'm trying out some new techniques with it! Just you guys wait~

I think a big thing for me in this journal is... I'm getting a new laptop! I'll be keeping my Mac as my school computer (How strange is that XD) and buying a refurbished laptop for... GAMING! Yes, I'm gonna treat myself to a package from Steam (100% on TF2 and Portal) and I'll be looking into some other games (Zombie Survival and WoW anyone? X3) so keep an eye out for more fanart! ;D

So uhh... Basically had an AMAZING weekend, no joke. XD

From Walmart antics Friday night, then me buzzing around like crazy Saturday morning as I tried to time everything right, even tho I still failed. X3;;;

It started when  Chip_Freakhound came down to my house and we were both sort of way too excited XD Then we headed out to Paradise to get Mitch, even tho I *thought* he lived closer then he was. So we were late from the get go, which involved a LOT of frantic texts and phone calls between bugging my mom to drive faster and yelling over the music. XD

So! We FINALLY got to the park (And only managed to drop one container of food, yay!) and we're looking around and all of a sudden... We see this MASSIVE group of people. I didn't think they were all furries but uhh... Yeah! I can't even remember half the people I met (Well, I already knew  Hakoge ,  D6016 ,  Shads ) and I finally met  LowLow64 and gave him his tail! And I met  Pat-Patriksson ,  Lorethian (I think this is Chu o 3o;;; ), Fen/Teagan, some other furs I didn't introduce myself to XD;;; and then a few of my cosplay buddies showed up too!

Antics included....

Juggling with some buskers (WHICH I MUST GET PHOTOS FROM SOMEONE OF!!), me holding a very young baby and being terrified of it XD, lots of kids asking for hugs and photos which was WAY too cute to be honest, and going to a store for slushies. XD (Thank god for extra long straws, seriously!)  Waykum even got photos with a couple who were getting married! XDDD Way too fun <3

I wasn't as like, active (As in running and playing around) as I would of liked, but c'mooooon, it was 20C at one point, I had on a t shirt, sweater, jeans, gloves and my partial head... I'm lucky I didn't pass out! XDD Hopefully the next meet will be a tad cooler, plus I'll have my sleeves done, so no sweater X3;;;

The most exciting thing is that... I'm almost done my first fursuit! I did all the base, the paws and the feet, I'm furring the tail, feet and paws while Chip furred most of the head. I'm fixing it here and there, and it's looking GREAT! <3 The eyes aren't in it yet, we're waiting on her printer to get more ink. X3;

I'm making a partial of Etoile, just because I needed to sort out some details on how exactly I was going to go about doing so. But now that that's all cleared up, I'm aiming to have Artemis done as a full suit by the end of the year~

Then all this brings up the question: Am I a furry? I honestly don't think I am, but I do really enjoy the artistic freedom and challenges that come with the fandom. So meh, why should I even shove myself into a category or the like.

On another, unrelated note, I've been partying way too heartedly. God damn vodka being so mixable. >_>

(Haah, sorry Dee, but it HAS been over a week since my last update! XD)

Err, I guess some more IRL updates first?

I got to go back to work for a WHOLE 7 hours before contracting some awful virus. Dx My doctor thinks it's a combination of A.) Stupid sick people from my work D:, B.) I'm just worn out after being stuck in bed for like, 5-7 weeks and C.) I'm no longer on antibiotics! Tho, I'm on... 4 medications right now, but those are for other things. X3

So with the virus, I can't talk too well right now (I can sort of, but it hurts a LOT), my tonsils are swollen like woooaaah, I get dizzy/weak easily and uhh, yeah. FUCKING FUN. My doctor has even mentioned me getting my tonsils removed, cause they're kinda massive anyways, and they seem to get infected pretty easily. >_> And oh yeah! I need to get blood work done soon to see wtf is on the go with my thyroids. It could explain a lot of things I have wrong with me right now, none of which are mentioned above, nor will I mention them; They're gross and personal, thanks. XD

Sadly, all this sickness and lack of work right now means I maaay have to miss out on the Pokemon themed meet up next week end. How lame! >_<;;;

Uhm, with regards to work tho, I've pretty much decided that I'm only gonna work for May, maybe a week in June and then I'm gone! I've been promised a job during the summer, which rocks! It's a SWASP (Student Work and Service Program) funded job, meaning that while I'm not eligible in the slightest for finical aid for school, this program guarentes you 320 hours of work (Eight 40 hour work weeks) and I'll be getting 175$ a week, and 175$ will be saved in a temporary account for me, which I'll have access to ONLY for school at the end of the two months! This works out GREAT for me, since by the end of it I'll have gotten 1,400$ for school saved, and that's just what I need! I'm so pleased, hurr hurr~

I am still single, but to be honest, not looking! It's a nice change to be me by myself, and while I do miss having someone to be "intimate" (Never really one for sex anyways >_>) I do know that I have a bunch of AMAZING friends I can lean on if I ever need. Thank you so much you guys! <333

As you can see, I've been drawing people again! I think I've improved like WOAH on body and slight foreshortening, which I'm really proud of myself for. X3 I still need to like, make myself practice eyes, but ahh, what odds for now.

And as for the title of this journal... My muse is back! I'm actually roleplaying with c0l0rful---pantiies right now, and still sorting out some things for a roleplay with Bolt and gonna help Maxx revive Org. Luce! ( http://orgluce.proboards.com/index.cgi ) which will be a BLAST, I miss being Xigbar! XD If anyone is ever up for a roleplay, hit me up! AND! I'm working on another fic! My gangster one is kinda dead (Bai bai Mr. Gangster Muse, it was fun!) so I've been working on an AkuDemy one instead! AU, and very Fight Club inspired~ SugarBeatAngel has been AWESOME with helping me flesh it out, from listening to my random ramblings about some vague plot, to helping me figure out what I'm actually doing. First up! While I don't think my friend uses FA, but SugarBeatAngel (Her dA: http://sugarbeatangel.deviantart.com/ ) bought me a new subscription on dA! Not only is she really sweet (Not just because of that, but she's so kind to newbies and really supportive of me! :3 <3) but she's an AMAZING writer, and actually the author of one my favorite fanfics EVER! Thirdly, about cosplay! I don't actually have any plans for cosplay up and coming, but! Chip and I have finally ordered our fur for my Etoile partial and her Sally partial! :3 I'm SUPER pumped about those, and we're actually planning to do two FULL fursuits! Those characters are secrets tho, aside from their names: Artemis is mine, and Sar-llen is her's. ;3

Oh, work! I'll be going back to Sobeys (BLAH) but that's only for May, I'm hoping to ask my parents if I can take June off, since I'll be working ALL July and August, then right into school. I have been promised a good job all summer, so that's fine~ >_< I am looking forward to school, I won't have to stress about work (Not work-work at least XD) and it's gonna be SO cool to be with people who have the same focus as me! And it's pretty much planned out that I'm gonna be going back after 2 years in Graphic Design and do the Costume Design course they offer. I'm fine with smaller parts, but I would LOVE to learn how to make an outfit from scratch! <3 Fingers crossed I get into that too! > o <

With drawing, I know I haven't posted much, but right now a lot of what I'm doing is simply exploring styles and such. Hopefully I'll have PSCS4 soon, since I really miss doing digital work. D:

So! I'm writing this while laying bed, ill from something I ate at the con! D:

I had a LOT of fun tho, I even met and hung out with  Shads and  Hakoge for a bit, and saw  D6016 around a bit! Of course I dragged  Chip_Freakhound around with me, and it was fun times! Chip wore my Gryphon Costume (Sans wings, they're broken x_o) and I was a shiny Umbreon, and Shads was Fay/Fai (I'm not sure of the spelling!) from a FF game!

Our Pokemon group was a hit; We even got asked for photos to be featured in a photography magazine! I have a picture in my scraps of most of our group if you're interested in seeing them~

I only attended one panel, a really basic one about costuming. A lot of the things she said was common sense (Cheap material isn't good, you can't cut through pins with scissors, and mannequins are expensive!) so I was all excited for my panel this morning until...

I woke up. I had eaten a pasta dish at East Side Marios with  Shads and  Chip_Freakhound and while it was delicious, I regret it. I'm lactose intolerant, and of course, ordered some cheese stuffed thing. I had taken my meds a couple hours before so I thought I'd be fine, but I guess not. Well, I had fun anyways, despite my foot (Ouuuuch after I got home last night..) and a lack-of-sleep-headache!

I was even asked by a couple people if I take commissions after seeing my costume, and I was floored! I did the costume in 3 days, and the feet didn't have a stitch in them, it was all glue! I was proud tho, especially when the store lady asked where I had bought them, and when she found out I made them, she got so excited! XDD

And on a more somber note, I've given up online dating. It's far too stressful on me (For having to make time to get online and such) and expensive! Besides, it's lonely to be comforted by a hunk of plastic and metal. I want to go to the movies, go for walks and hold hands, hug and walk arm in arm... Even fluff up someone's hair to annoy them even tho they and I know I'm only playing around. Meh, I think I'm just down cause I'm sick...

So! Enough of that emo journal XDD (It's been fixed mostly anyways!)

I'm SO pumped for Sci Fi on the rock! It's a local con, and while the name seems to solely include Science Fiction, there are fans of ALL "geeky" genres! I should know, I'm a manga/anime/cosplay nerd, and not into much sci fi but I still enjoy it!

Not only do I find it as a great time to geek out, but I get to see my awesome friends from the other side of the island! This is one of two times a year I get to visit with them, so I'm looking forward to it! Any local furs attending, look out for a shiny Umbreon on Saturday, and a (possibly limping) Xion on Sunday~

Mmf. So, I have a couple choices right now, concerning what I can do until June/July (I'm promised a job then, so no worries about that).

I can...

A.) Go back to work at Sobeys.
Pros: More spending money, more time out of my house.
Cons: I could possible injure my foot further/again. I hate it there. XD Less/Little time for friends/art.

B.) Not work at all.
Pros: Have more time for friends/art.
Cons: Less/No spending money, more inactivity.

C.) Apply for a new job!
Pros: A new job! More spending money, more time out of my house.
Cons: I could possible injure my foot further/again. Less/Little time for friends/art.

While I'm kind of eying up option B, it's not really workable. Not only would I have NO money (OH GAWD. I can't handle that. XD;;; ), my parents would be on my tail about it BIG time. (Chip knows my situation, so yeah...) Option C really seems to be my best option, but I guess it's just a lack of confidence? It did hurt when I only got accepted at Sobeys... I mean, I have a lot of experience and all, and I like to think I'm pretty nice, but it really didn't reflect in where I'm working. (I think I got a bit spoiled with my old job, but still!)

Anyways, I guess this is just a vent. >_< Plus, my dad currently screaming at my sister, and my mom threatening to leave... It's all a bit overwhelming I guess. *hugs her dog*

I've been trying hard to make up a new character, his coloring/markings have me driven insane!!

After a loooong day of waiting rooms (Gawd, some people need to cover their mouths! No I do NOT want your breath in my lungs, thanks!) I found out I need to wait another two and a half weeks before getting back to work. That's all well and fine to me (I mean, I enjoy the time off and shit XD) but the issue...

Money! I need to save money for school, and my trip to Texas, and things in general! It's hard, yo D;

Especially since Chip and I have gotten close to getting our suits! Yeah, we need the fur, but still! It's kinda irritating I guess.

Other then that uhm, I should have some WIPs of my partial suit of Etoile up when I get more of the muzzle done. Actually, I took that with me to fiddle with the nose area at the office, and I had a woman come over and look at it and ask "What in God's name is that?" I explained it was for a mascot suit, and she nodded awkwardly and went back to her seat. >_>

Okay, an update, finally! XDD

As you can tell, I have my scanner back! SO happy about that, you don't even know~ I've been practicing, and as far as I can tell, improving a bit with traditional stuff!

I got my surgery yesterday!! It was so scary DD: I didn't even know I was going in for that, cause all I had been told was that it was gonna be an appointment, which I figured meant that I would go see Dr. H, he'd scope out my foot, and decide what to do and I'd make a second appointment. Instead, after checking it out, he was like "Do you want this gone?" And I nodded and...

Next thing you know I'm laid up in bed for 2-3 weeks because I can't walk. XD

At least it's over with now! And a big thank you to  Chip_Freakhound and  KoalaGateau for being so supportive of me!

Hm, otherwise, I've got plans for a new suit! I plan on keeping the other head (Ciele's) bare for now until I can get her fur, so I made a new Fennec character! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3600454/ (Sketchy version) I'll be getting the fur for her, and Ciele when I go to Texas in August! :3

Other then that, not much else. XD
