Payment
Payment can come in three ways:
-All at once
-Half upon commissioning, half upon completion
-Discussed payment plan with payment dates (details may very and can be worked out through messaging and made clear in the invoice)
Payments are to be sent through PayPal
Refunds
30% of the total suit price is non refundable.
In the case that you cannot complete payments on the suit, and payment plans cannot be rearranged, you have a few options:
-Pay for the hours already put into the suit, the materials, and the shipping and I will send you the incomplete suit. A deadline for this payment will be discussed and worked into a new invoice.
-if you cannot pay for the work already started on the suit, you will receive a 70% refund and forfeit the suit.*
*in the case that you forfeit your suit due to inability to pay, I have the right to finish and sell the suit — with multiple design changes. The design will not be identical to the original (things may be added or taken away to make the design unique enough to be passed as another character). Again, if you forfeit the started suit at any point in the process, the design will receive changes to make it different from your character, then sold as a premade.
Queue
I often only queue one person in line to come after my current project, but may open to more commissions queued as things grow and demand rises. In that case there will always be a list as to who is up in the queue posted.
There are several requirements to join the queue and rules for being in it:
-You must have fully discussed the commission with me and received a proper quote*. Quotes are free and can be received by reaching out to me on discord to discuss the project. You cannot join the queue without having been quoted.
-When you are 1st/next in queue, you will have 7 days after being informed that you are next in queue to pay a down payment of 5% of your total commission cost. This down payment secured your spot as next in line. It is not an additional fee and will be put towards your total cost. If you drop out of the queue between your 5% down payment and your first official payment you will not be refunded the 5%.
-As first in queue you will be given warning as to your turn coming up. When it is officially your turn you will be messaged that you’re project is ready to be started, and will have 7 days from that message to put down your first official payment. Failure to pay will result in being sent to the bottom of the queue.
-Joining the queue is to be treated as if you are ready to commission right then. Avoid joining the queue if you are not prepared to being paying off your project at any moment, as the queue is constantly subject to change due to projects finishing early, finishing late, and people dropping out. Your turn may come much faster than you first expected, and you should be prepared to begin payment at any time once queued.
*Quote: coming to me and discussing the entirety of what you want to have made and being given a total price for your commission. Quotes have the possibility of expiring as my prices are always subject to change, but you will not be punished in any way for joining the queue with an expired quote, I will instead reach out to you and give you an updated price, and you can decide if you want to join the queue from that point.
Shipping
I ship through UPS to the United States. I currently do not ship internationally (sorry!).
Shipping is NOT included in the total suit price that you are invoiced for. Due to a number of factors, I am unable to estimate the cost of shipping the suit before it’s creation, but you should remember to budget for shipping along side the price of your suit.
I will send you the price of shipping after the suit is complete (that way in can be measured and weighed for an accurate shipping cost). I ship through UPS ground, but you may request faster shipping methods through UPS.
You will get a tracking number upon shipment. I always insure packages for safety.
I am not responsible for lost packages/damage caused by the mail system. Suits are wrapped in plastic bags to prevent water damage and anything fragile will be padded when packaged to ship.
Warranty and Repairs
Sadly I must admit, I am human. This means that’s there is always a chance for mistakes, and things not coming completely perfect. This risk comes with anything handmade. Luckily we are prepared for these moments.
Your suit comes with a 3 week warranty after receiving your package. This warranty covers major structural issues (things becoming unglued, main seams coming undone in large amounts, suit not fitting, feature not working like head-fans or moving jaws). This does not apply to small, easy fixes. Things like popped seams are inevitable, and —although rare— small bald patches in the shaving are a possibility.
There are many guides online to your disposal on minor repairs, and I will also send you proper instructions on suit care to keep up with your suits integrity and cleanliness.
I am more than willing to do repairs! All suits will start to show their age over time, and I am happy to take in and fix any parts on your suit that are starting to wear. For simple maintenance (small repairs and an overall once over) the charge is just for materials as well as shipping both ways. Any new feature you may want to add or design changes will increase this cost.
Design Changes
You are allowed to make changes to the suits design during the making process to a certain extent. Most all design features should be finalized before the purchase of materials. After the purchase of materials, design changes that require different materials such as different fur colors are not allowed. Throughout the making process, you are allowed to make small changes to anything that has not yet been completed.
Examples of good and bad design change requests:
Can we change the suit expression after the base has already been built? No.
Can we change the hair style before you added the fur? Yes!
Overall, I am open to design change requests but I am not obligated to do them. I will turn down changes that will be bad for the structure of the suit and the suits overall build.
Sizing
It is your responsibility to make sure I receive the correct sizes and measurements. This can come in the form of self measurements and duct tape dummies. I make my suits a very slight bit larger than the measurements giving to allow for movement (fur does NOT stretch). Because fur is so stiff it is important that I receive correct information, not estimates or guesses.
There is always the chance that something might be sized wrong on my end, which is covered under the warranty stated above.
Age Rules
I strictly only take commissions from people 18 and above. HOWEVER if you are a minor I am willing to do the commission through your parent/guardian. I must receive parental consent, as well as speak to them through either a call or messaging. This is for my own protection as a creator and I thank you for understanding.
Licensed Characters
I will not make specifically licensed characters. I am willing to work with characters inspired by licensed media, such as a fan made character. A good and bad example of this would be:
Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon ❌
A fan made nightfury OC ☑️
•Privacy
I will not share your sensitive information such as name or address to any third parties, and your info will only be used in the process of making and shipping your suit.
Agreement
By submitting your first payment issued by your invoice, you will have agreed to the terms.
