Good! The sooner we all get vaccinated, the better. Perhaps we can get back to something like normal life this year...

I'm such a hermit that my life changed very little, that's when it really dawned on me how isolated I am from well....everything and everyone but yeah I still want to get back to normal even if that means I have to see people in person again which I am not looking forward to.

I've done my part to convince as many as I can to get vaccinated, the hesitant the conspiracy nuts, and it worked for the most part, specially when their doubts can be debunked in 5 minutes or less. It's tiring but thanks goodness those I talked to were not too far gone into the rabbit holes.

You must be much better at this than I am. Most of my family are conspiracy nuts and don't get any vaccines. It drives me crazy!

One idea that works is the "Disney Money"
facts: disney owns 4 cruise ships, by not being active they cost the company a ridiculous amount of money, if the parks and hotels are closed it cost them an absurd amount of money in repairs and and maintenance, in 2019 alone disney generated around 70 billion dollars worldwide. If you don't believe in covid at least you have to believe in money, if the virus is not real and a hoax how does it make sense for a company that is in the business of printing obscene amounts of cash to say "no I don't want money, please stay home" the same company that will send a cease and desist to a grieving father for wanting to have a spiderman on his son's grave cause he was a fan, a company that covers a lot of allegations of sex predators in the premises of their parks. It makes no sense, and if someone brings the streaming service and how they are on board because of the revenue, what they get from a streaming service is pennies in comparison to direct sales at parks, movie theaters,, events, etc. In the end makes no sense for them to close shop and say no to money if it was a hoax because they get nothing, the tax breaks disney gets, there's nothing else they can get from the government they can't bribe, coax or simply take. So why close shop?

Another one is simply searching the name of whoever is being named "expert" on one of those idiotic watsapp chain messages "X japanese scientist says X" search name and see what comes up.

Take into consideration that their reaction is out of fear, we live in times of existential dread and uncertainty, we want to believe there is someone, something evil behind it all, it's comforting, makes them believe they can fight back, that there's the "other" they can blame, it's a mix of naivete and ignorance exploited by degenerate talking heads for their own personal gain. I feel for you, hang in there.
