A Year Since My Last Con

Well, it’s now been a full year since my last furry con, which was Scotiacon 2019. That’s the longest gap I’ve had between cons in over 10 years.
Based on what’s going on with vaccines at the moment, it’ll be summer 2021 or later before cons and meets can resume. To keep on the safe side, it may even be months after that before any events take place. So maybe it’s more realistic to say 2022.
Given the momentum has been broken, it’s difficult to say if cons will ever be the same again. A lot of people who were once regular attendees may not return. Some people may develop a taste for the current trend of VR cons and decide to stick to online events only.
It’ll be a changed landscape after this is all over for sure.

I’d like to do EF again sometime - I haven’t been there since 2017.
I hope I get a chance to cross paths with you again at a Con but since I have given up MFF due to a few reasons (such as it has just gotten too big and isn't as much fun as it was 10 years ago for me) I don't know where I might be able to encounter you again at.
Same as you, I think it’s gotten far too big. That was the main reason I skipped it in 2019. Of course, had I known what was to come, I think I’d have made an effort to go last year.
I see that we did attend the same convention once. Do you remember me from FC 2010? No? Well it was 11 years ago and it was a big con. lol
