Dear Old Friend...

It started In January, everything that had gone topsy-turvy. I should have told you sooner, I suppose. Perhaps none of this would have happened. I truly miss your loyalty and protection, whoop whoop, there is a window open for you. I wish I could go back in time and claim what is mine and I continue to hurt for this. Please, I hope you can forgive me, I truly wish for your approval.
Dearest Nikki, I have returned to your dream to be banished for defending from another mistake. I have called them Boris for now, I hope you do not mind. This will involve another I will call Beau - for probably obvious reasons you will see, and his pet called Priss for now. Do not worry dearest Nikki - I will tell you truth.
In the beginning of the new year, Beau was adjusting to a new things and some other distractions while Priss waited and passed the time - there was not much that could be done, other than continue to communicate and be ever diligent in minding space and boundaries. Beau was enjoying self as adjustment became easier with welcomed arms of past friends. This made Priss feel happy, perhaps Priss could make new friends, too.
You see, Beau and Priss belong to one another. Two halves to make a whole, one would say they had been made for one another. Priss had reunited with Beau and the two would ultimately, in the end, always be together. So was the intentions spoke of, at the least. Beau quietly allowed the little pet Priss to continue games with her own little friends. Beau, they kept busy with the beginning of plotting; happily chirping to Priss of newfound muse long missed. There was a particular person, though, that Beau spoke of consistently getting closer to him. More and more friendly, one could say attachment of sorts, as Boris became more involved.
Priss really didn't think too much of this in the beginning; Beau assuring that none could replace the little pet. Selene, she was scared; I was scared. Priss began quietly watching the happenings, observing the relationship as it progressed speedily into uncomfortable waters. By the time little Priss spoke up, Beau believed Boris. Boris was nothing more than a friend, one that needed to be the first before Priss. Boris needed to always be attached to Beau, feeling threatened by the return of Priss. Boris felt distance beginning, panicked by this and setting up a scheme to become a damsel in distress. Beau, whom had been previously preoccupied with Priss, needing to cut his time with his pet to address this distress call. An "S.o.S." that would lead into mortal wounding, placing Beau in dangerous water again.
Priss begged, feeling alarmed by the shoving of her time with Beau, that this relationship between Boris and Beau take many steps back. Beau refused, feeling as though the pet was being irrational and impatient; proceeding forward with a marriage of assumed eternity to the newly immortal Boris. A horrified Priss pushed and fought this with every fibre, met with refusal and adversary. Despite the clear discomfort of the relationship between Boris and Beau, Boris continued to push little Priss out. Demanding time with Beau, exclusion from Priss - and even suggesting many a time to replace Priss with Boris instead.
Priss objected with every warning sign that Boris would wretch them apart; and for a while Boris even succeeded. Priss giving up for a short while as Boris attended the things that Priss was intended to with Beau. Boris would always have first dibs on the things meant for Priss, so when Beau finally gave the opening to end the charades - Priss was hesitant and pained. Why did Priss have to prove self-worth? Why did Priss have to fight so hard for the one Priss was made to be with? What did Boris have that Priss did not?
The struggle continued, Boris claiming Beau as theirs alone, unable to accept that Priss was uncomfortable with Beau banging Boris. When finally, the time came...
Priss will cling to regret for meddling in Beau's affairs, as Boris took the request to remove romance from their relationship with Beau. The tantrum was all too real, as Boris clung to Beau for saving from a life Priss could only dream to have; a husband and child. Boris searched for an escape from green pastures, seeking to steal from the mild mannered Priss now pushed to the edge of wits.
"But you're the King, you can kick her out for her behaviour!" The arguments continued for days, even weeks as Boris refused to stay with the stipulation that Boris would need to find another husband truly ripe for the pickings. Priss ruined Boris by barring off Beau from sexual interactions, and this was the end of the trauma - right?
Dearest Selene, Nikki, Boris has claimed to be a victim. Boris was forced into the relationship that Boris fought to keep, visibly wounded still by the words left and remaining toward Beau. Boris wounded Priss deepest, and yet... Priss is forbidden to be sad wounded by word of Boris. Priss cannot even speak the truth while the mill runs wild. Beau fell victim to the sweet words and ear-ticklings made by the feathered viper I will not name directly. The viper pretending to play opossum, crying injustices that she had caused herself.
Selene, you are missed... I hope for forgiveness, though I will never ask for such directly. I could use advice, though... It feels as though I am being punished for being right.
If the shoe fits...
