October Furmeet?

So I've been doing some more talks with the folks at COSI and we realized with a group of the size I'm expecting (Between 10-15 people), it would make more sense to do an overnight stay with COSI just being one of the events.
So I'm thinking, how about that? A one night stay (for people outside Columbus, or inside, your choice) with a list of events for the two days. Almost like a mini con.
I have many contacts around Columbus, so Hotel's shouldn't be too much of a problem. I've already found rooms at Red Roof Inn in Downtown Columbus, in addition to the one on OSU campus, for around 60 bucks a night. I'm talking to some folks over at the Holiday Inn about trying to get reduced rates rooms there. If so, I'll manage to get Fort Rapid tickets included (Indoor Waterpark)
Tell me what you guys think, if October's a good time, when you might be available, ideas you have as to what could be on a list of events, etc.
I'm looking at the third weekend in October (23rd, 24th, 25th) and I'm thinking Sat-Sun or Fri-Sat.

I already have room arrangements for me and a friend.....so I have that taken care of
the only thing I need to figure out is transportation from COSI to the hotel and back
there is a really good restaurant about a mile in front of COSI....I think it is through a tunnel, but I know it is Italian^^......I love that place.
if you know the restaurant that I'm talking about, is it still there?
