Retirement from serious artistry
General
It's been a long seven years since I started drawing. It started as a pass-time to give me something creative to do, and eventually became something I could make a bit of money off of. However, I feel it's time for me to take a step back from "serious" art, and put a little less focus on it.
What do I mean by this?
Simply that "fully completed" works and commissions are a low priority to me. I'm not very happy with my "finished products", both from a casual stance and from a business stance. They feel very low quality compared to my sketches, and even a good number of my line-art pieces don't really please me. Instead of pushing myself to try and do all this fanciful, colorful stuff to try and grow my herd, I'm going to put less effort and pressure into making spectacular flops.
Does this mean I'm completely quitting art?
No. I'm still going to do works from time to time (most likely sketches/sketch batches on a weekly basis, mostly from Snowie Sundays), but fully finished pieces are going to be few and far between. I'm going back to having art be a casual thing rather than a formal thing.
What does this mean for commissions/trade/requests?
Commissions and trades will still be open, as will my Patreon tip jar, but I won't be advertising them as I have been. Requests will still be closed, and 30 minute art challenges may still be done on my Discord server.
What about your streams?
Done. Gone. I doubt I will be doing them anymore. After the issues on Picarto driving me away, and my own personal issues with myself and my art, I haven't been comfortable with the idea of doing streams again.
Why are you doing this?
As stated before, I'm not happy with my "finished products" or my art in general. I find my sketches to look much nicer and a lot better than my line-art and fully finished works. The pressure of putting out work has also been very taxing on me, almost driving me to completely quitting. But that wouldn't be fair to anyone. Rather than outright quitting, I'm slowing things down and doing things as I want to, at a rate that I am comfortable with.
I apologize for any disappointment that this news may bring. With slow business, poor quality commissions and finished pieces, and overall displeasing taste in regards to the works I make, I felt this was the best decision to keep giving you guys some content, and keeping me from overloading myself as I did in the past. Thank you for understanding.

My works normally try to go for the casual ABDL gimmick, as that's generally how I enjoy engaging in it, myself. Most of it winds up being hyper sexualized or mixing in a lot of fetishes that I don't particularly care for. Thus, my sort of gimmick came out.
When I talk about Casual vs Serious art, I'm looking at amount of time and effort put in (and whether or not the works are paid for.) My casual works are just random ideas sketched out without putting much effort into things like proper linework, colorizations, etc. Serious art would be fully, properly lined, usually colored, and usually paid for as well. A lot of pressure to make it look as good as possible, and still have numerous issues with the piece that leads to burn out.
Don't worry about lurking. 99% of my followers everywhere lurk. I've just accepted it as what happens, especially so since whenever I make anything off-brand or Safe For Work, they see very little attention. A double-edged sword of being an artist in my niche.
Taxes don't affect commissions at all. My rates have rarely changed since I started, and may have only gone up a few dollars. When I end up charging more, it is purely for level of complexity and difficulty in the piece, never taxes. Even when PayPal takes a small chunk of what I charge someone, I never charge a dime more. Sure I may a bit less, but this is more of a hobby than a job for me. If I make some money from it, cool. If not, then whatever, not a big deal.
