Looking Back at 2018
When you have a lot friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances on facebook, it's hard to say how I feel without knowing that someone would exploit your circumstance.
So I figure that this would be a nice venue to talk about my 2018.
It was brutal. Like it's not a year of a dog anymore. It's a year of poop. When you carry the weight of a fragile relationship and handle the abuse from your superiors at work at the same time, you'd eventually crack and dump it all out. These come with a heavy price that lasted for a while, which are emotionally exhausting and traumatizing.
After taking responsibility for the break-up (which I never should've done) and being humiliated in front of my co-workers by my boss, I decided to take a vacation back in my home country in summer. And oh boy was that a super bad move. Let's just say that I shouldn't stay with my parents alone for too long, considering they knew about my homosexual dating. I left home feeling sour; but soon after my Dad got hospitalized for his life-long heart issues. That's the main reason why I went back home again last Christmas (which I was so close to decline) but with the addition to my sister and her partner, who I haven't seen for so long, they make the trip worthwhile and less aggravating. Thank goodness.
Around fall, I began reaching out to furries - something that I should've done for a long time but never had a chance. I had negative experiences before in getting in furry meetups as an undergrad, because I cringed so much when I hung out with fursuiters in public with children involved. But it was different this time, and it wasn't so bad at all! My first meetup here in Cali was at FurryBBQ in Irvine. At first it was hard to uhh... mingle? xD but with a help from Telegram and Twitter, communication's muuuch easier. Then I made wonderful friends with fellow artists, hobbyists, enthusiasts, wannabes, kemonos oh my! I just want to say, despite what I'm going through in 2018, I am very thankful for you all! ^^ You guys make my life more fun!
So here's to the new year-2019. I'm still busting my bunny balls here in LA; and if you live nearby, let's meet up and have a drink!
