On the sidebar to the right you can click on the MP-5K for those base dimensions. The Wikipedia article also has some pretty decent dimensions, might be enough to get you going.

Best I can do, as there doesn't seem to be any full schematics, likely due to HK not wanting folks 3-D printing the things, or something.

Yeah, people rarely do these models to correct dimensions, i'm not using somebody else's work as a reference.

Reliable and accurate, but the receiver is temperamental when it comes to dings and dents.

You most likely won't find them for the MP5. There is one site that might have it, but even that is a stretch.

Honestly, your best bet might be a quality airsoft one unless you can find a nearby owner or someone who has the tools and knowledge to do proper measurements.

I used to be in an airsoft league, honestly i don't trust airsoft guns with these dimensions or how the guns look they only look accurate till you hold them next to the real thing.

It depends. The Japanese ones or the ones that get licensing tend to be pretty spot on.

You probably won't find dimensions for them, being that they're stamped rather than machined from bar stock. Just isn't the hobby gunsmithing following that just about everything else has.
If you're /really/ into HKs you might bend them from a 'flat' which is actually a real complex stamping of its own, but nobody makes them from nothing like AKMs sten/sterling/suomi generic tube guns and all the various machined receiver guns.

Best bet as mentioned would be to get a high end tokyo-mauri or some such airsoft.
My AKS-74 sidefolding stock is actually from one back when the real deal was $150 and the perfect knockoff was $30. Plenty dimensionally accurate mating up with real deal trunnions.

I just needed to find somebody that owns one who would take some measurements for me. POF and Zenith make licensed clones that are identical to HK's and they're getting popular. I just needed to find somebody that had one, which i did.

Ah, I was thinking more along the lines of you tossing one into a CMM to get a solid model with minimal effort.

Yup, solid model is (generally) a very precisely dimensioned 3d model.
There are a couple on this site in a format that's pretty accessible without CAD software.

I used to do some real basic modding on the stalker series, mostly textures and text though. Interesting to run into someone much deeper into that field.

Honestly those wouldn't be useful at all for what i'm doing even if i could convert them to an fbx or game format. There's really strict rules for game topology, and pretty sure these are like vector or nurb based. ON top of that, the process is different for hard surface modeling. YOu can't really retopologize hard surface stuff you have to sorta model your low poly and then refine that into your high poly for normal mapping.
