We have the Sael. From the tropics. Descended from tree dwelling mammals.
I also want to have the Saurian race associated with humanoid companions.

I think these first three races all need to be based in the same region. More or less. Dense jungle/forest.
ON HORROR
So if a theme is demons and monsters that sets the horror aspect quite well but where do they come from?
I like the idea of monstrous children being born that grow to be monsters. Like a curse?
What if there is an advancing army of creatures like the White Walkers?
Demons using humas as slaves.
