An All-Purpose Introduction

Well, to begin, I know I've been a furry fan for some time, but only in the last few years have I actually considered myself a furry. Coincidentally, I am the only furry in my area as far as I know, so I'm really somewhat secretive of all of this in real life. Anyway, only in the last year or so did I begin to think I might be able to do this myself, but make no mistake, I hold no illusions about my skills. I want to be good, I dream of being good, but I realize I am currently less than good and am very willing to accept criticism. In fact, I welcome it. I have only basic pencil and paper at my disposal, but I am soon to acquire a nice tablet, though I am almost completely unfamiliar with any sort of photo-edititing software, having only the one that came free with my scanner. Also, with the exception of a basic art class earlier this year, I'm almost entirely self-taught, making quality criticism that much more valuable to me since I really have nowhere to go.
Anyway, my thanks to any and all who read this.

I mean, for example, you think I just knew how to draw muscle structure on my own? Heavens, no. I observed the human body (including my own), looked into the anatomy styles of some other artists, and I studied some anatomy charts. Then, practice, practice, practice! Get out a big ol' sketchbook and just go to town in it. ;)

That site has some nice reference material on it, and much of it is free. Snoop around there, if you feel like it.
Take care! I wish you the best. ^_^
