Hey all, I figure I should probably have one of these up, it will be edited as I gain more commissions and have a better idea of what I feel should be in here:

1. The commissoner (the one wanting a piece drawn) must come to the artist (the one who will be drawing the piece) with an idea of what they want in mind.
2. Dependent on the price of the overall piece a minimum of 50% must be received before the artist can begin the commission. What percentage can also be negotiated on a commission to commission basis.
3. Artist must receive a full description of the character(s) in the piece, whether by a paragraph or so of text, reference images of the character, or it's likeness, or a mix of the two.
4. The artist allows for a total of three alterations at each stage of the process (sketch, line art, flat color, full color). Once the sketch stage is complete, the positioning is set and only minor alterations to the body size are allowed before the start of the line art stage.
5. The commissioner retains full rights to his/her character(s) in the piece. However they do not own the rights to the piece itself.
6. The piece cannot be copied, reproduced, or altered in any way without the artist's permission.
7. The artist's signature must remain in the image as it was originally given to the commissioner unless express written permission from the artist is given
8. With the artist's permission the commissioner can use the finished piece for personal use on social media websites (i.e. Facebook, F-list, SoFurry, Furaffinity, etc) As long as credit is rightly given to the artist and the signature remains in the piece.
9. Cancelling the commission during the sketch stage means only 50% of the overall price is returned. After the sketch stage no more than 25% will be returned.
10. The artist has the right to refuse a piece based on what it may depict. The depiction will either have to be changed or if applicable an extra charge will be added.
