To anyone who as a 3DS

So I want to know if anyone can help me with a problem. Whenever I start up my 3DS it'll get an error saying "An error has occurred, Hold down the power button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again" I can't send it in to Nintendo since I don't really have the money to pay for repairs at the moment. So if anyone has suggestions on how to fix this thank you.
