REJECTION

       Love... what even is it? Is love when you first gaze upon someone and find a majestic beauty in what you see? Is love when you reminisce of that person, and you feel a passionate pain in your chest? Or is love the uneasy grasp you feel while lying in a cold bed at dusk, wishing for them to be at your side?
       While these all may be, in fact, signatures of true lust and passion... I have been cheated by these emotions, far too many times. In my lifetime, love has been; when their appearance traumatizes me every time we make an encounter. When the memories haunt me and overrun my brittle mind with mixed emotions and thoughts, causing a headache beyond any medication. When I lye awake at night in my cold, empty bed, curious as to if anyone will ever be at my side...
