Furry birthday

General
I am using this entry as a chronological record of my own experience thus far in the fandom. As far as I can remember, I discovered the fandom and identified myself with it a week or so before making an FA account. But for the sake of official record, I shall use my FA account date my furry birthday.
So what has happened, one year on? Ever since my last journal, there has been a great series of developments, both positive and negative. I have grown to learn that while life's pitfalls are inevitable, downs can mould me into less naive person and avoid committing the similar mistakes in the future. Also, I appreciate the fact that I am on reasonably good terms with most furs in the local community. I hope I can try out of drama and keep it that way as far as possible. I am unable to contribute in a "furry" way locally, so I tend to lend support, financially or otherwise, to those who do. Involving myself in the organisation of AFA 2014 is one example. I pride myself in helping out in these small, tangible ways. I really enjoyed what the community has provided to me thus far, and I hope I can return the favour.
With regards to life in general, the going has been tough. Law school was never meant to be easy, and the working world is ruthless. Things are not looking too good in terms of the legal industry. With the influx of foreign law firms and the appreciable market shift towards cheaper and more efficient forms of dispute resolution like arbitration, demand for local lawyers are weakening. Job prospects are gradually eroding amidst the intense competition. I have always asked myself day by day whether all this time (and money) spent on the fandom will work to my detriment in the future. For now, I have settled with the answer (or excuse) that a man needs to something to keep his sanity in this madness.
Insofar as sexuality is concerned (yes it is an issue), I always took on an agnostic attitude towards it. However, my not-so-straight side of me of recent days demands attention. Nonetheless, I put my foot (or paw) down and maintain the position that it might be tempting, but wrong. Yes I'm all for LBGTQ rights, but for my own sake, as well as those people whose shoulders I am standing on to reach the heights I am at today, I simply cannot let them down. In another world, in another life, maybe.
To my watchers, thank you for the watch! Sorry I never got around you shout a thanks you. Just want to lay it down clearly that my profile here is a clean one (just like me ;3). If you watched hoping to get submissions of kinky shit, I think you might reconsider keeping me on your watch list. Regardless, I will keep commissioning SFW art, probably on a monthly basis. I usually like to commission not-so-famous artists who are from humble origins. I would like to think that they need the money the most.
Anyway thanks for reading! Heres to some good times ahead! ^_^
