Saint Louis Renaissance Faire

So I frequent Ren faires and for the past two weeks I've gone to the one in Wentzville, Missouri, and both times I've seen three people in fur suits. I'm NOT against people who want to wear fur suits at a convention, at home, or whatever, but a Ren faire is not a place to wear one. You can make the suit really dirty because of the roads being made of dirt and having fairly large stones in the road, but also it is inappropriate because it is a RENAISSANCE FAIRE, IT'S THE 14TH CENTURY FOR FUCKS SAKE! FURRIES DID NOT EXIST IN 14TH CENTURY FRANCE!
I know this isn't a spectacularly cheery first journal to ever write, but seriously, if you want to show off that you're a furry and you're at a ren faire, they sell little fox/wolf tails that you can clip onto your belt.
This isn't exclusionary to only furries, this is also pointed to those who dress up as Jedis and people who dress up in cosplay of anime characters. You guys stick to your conventions, and I'll stick with my Ren Faires.
