The watch system doesn't have the category thing (Activities, Journals and Polls, Scraps, etc.), but the search and browse tabs have a variety of things. In fact, there are some things here that DA doesn't allow, even the NSFW. The Note system's definitely easier on the browsers, so there's no need to worry about having javascript problems on basic web browsers on various handhelds or on a DVD player. Age can be changed (unlike DA), and the Notification system's way easier to manage. There may be some sizing problems in the submissions, but it can be corrected after clicking on "Edit Submission" to put the original image in and voila! That's how I managed to get my Beast Cross sub in my gallery. Any file format's acceptable, but the viewers may need to download any files that can't be opened by the site itself.
Basically, the entire system in general is simpler but much easier on the web browsers and the users, be it the sender or receiver. That's why I tend to be on here when I can't access DA (which is due to parental issues or the web browser acting up. lol).

For the community, it's pretty friendly, and unlike DA, FA's moderators are quite helpful and informative, not to mention they may also have a good phrase or two that can make me laugh from time to time. This community, and most other furry communities are more tolerable in other people's likes and dislikes than most other sites.

One thing I also forgot to mention is that the reply strings are always on a continuous "Threaded" view. I call it that because it looks like DA's "threaded" view. It's easy to hit the wrong reply button, so the refresh method might help in getting back to the recent comment you clicked on from the message board....
