Looking for artwork of this!!!
I recall the feeling of being myself totally free, my ears pointed straight up and the feeling of my wings on my back. I recall the smell of marble, and then steel.
I open my eyes to see bars, inside a cage I lay with my wings up against my back. Not sure as to how I got there. I notice the surroundings.
Around me I notice that this cage is a larger cage and lets me move around. It’s a grey steel cage with thick bars, and a base and top that overlap the bars so its pretty sturdy. Outside the cage is a large room. Maybe thirty foot deep, and very well put together. Maybe it’s a ball room. Above is a large chandelier and a very nice piece of art on the ceiling. The walls were a yellowish but could not tell if that was because of the sun or not. There were very large colums in the space and there was a table in the room, though it was small compared to the rest of the room. The floors were Marble. I could tell from the smell, It was a rocky smell, kind of musty but fairly dry.
I layed my head on my paw and closed my eyes content on myself being who I was. Suddenly I hear a voice…
“Your overly happy for being in a cage.” It says. The voice was a lower one, and I never got a glimpse of what was talking to me.
“ I’m just talking a moment to enjoy, and look at my surroundings.” I say back in a calm voice.
It was so peaceful there, not much for sounds. Not even with perfect hearing and ears that I could move about I could hear talking down the hall. I can hear them talking but not what they were saying.
I stood up at this point and felt my coat of fur, it was so warm around me, and was just long enough to wave in the slight breeze. That’s when I spotted the lock. It was a simple design on the front of the cage and a door that was pretty good size. I knew if I got a claw up there I could pop it loose and get out, but not without the people down the hall noticing it.
I waited. Waited for the talking to stop, as I looked over and noticed another cage. I recall seeing another dark creature but could not make out what it was because I heard the people down the hall leave.
This was my chance, my chance to be free! I quickly clip the lock and the door pops open. I sneak outside the door and feel the cold floor on my feet. At this point I see that there is a hallway and choose to run for it.
I run out of the room and feel my feet slipping across the marble floor, I can feel it, the feeling of being free! As I run I can hear the few people at the one door at the end of the hallway. I can feel the wind in my ears, and across my fur. I can feel my heart race as I sprint toward the end of the hallway.
The feeling of freedom is overwhelming as I notice at the end of the hallway there is a double window. Its shut but I don’t care, I’m going for it. I get toward the end of the hallway and I can hear them stop talking. “Too Late” I think.
I then make the leap, wings pressed right up against my back, head first, head down.
!CRASH!
The window breaks very easy and im free! Free alast! Free from whatever that was that I was trapped in, where ever it was, and that im now flying away.
