28 Days of Thankfulness

So I noticed something that has started going around on facebook where people take time to be thankful for the things they have in their life. I think that is a great idea because we spend the rest of the year rushing around and worrying about one thing or another all the while taking nearly everything for granted. This way I can make a journal to edit every day, not just to show others what to be thankful for but to also remind myself that there are worse things in the world and that we need to stop and appreciate what we DO have. Hopefully other people will see this and even if they don't take the time to write it down, just to take a few seconds to stop and think.
Day 1: I'm thankful for my health. There are many people with all sorts of ailments, and just to be healthy is a blessing in itself.
Day 2: I'm thankful for modern medicine, especially contacts so I can see!
Day 3: I'm thankful for my work. I get to wake up every day and do something I love that benefits those around me, and that feels awesome!
Day 4: I'm thankful for laughter. Smiles look great on everyone, and laughing works wonders for the body and soul!
Day 5: I'm thankful for cold mornings, warm blankets, and good movies!
Day 6: I'm thankful for technology, truth be told I would be completely lost without my phone.
Day 7: I'm thankful that I learned how to cook, not just to survive but to enjoy life. It's quite relaxing.
Day 8: I'm thankful for coworkers that make the shift go by quickly!
Day 9: I'm thankful that almost a year ago I quit smoking for good.
Day 10: I'm thankful for all the small things that bring the biggest smiles!
Day 11: I'm thankful for all who serve our country (men, women, and animals too!)
Day 12: I'm thankful that I've been given a stronger back instead of a lighter burden through prayer.
Day 13: I'm thankful to live where I do; it's not really such a bad place.
Day 14: I'm thankful for the natural beauty of the earth.
