Letter to Strype...
My dear Strype!
Congratulations, you have given my own thoughts on breaking free, yet retaining a set of rules, or making up a 'new' set of rules, to govern your actions, a frame.
My own coming out ( to myself as to others ) had not begun until 2003, when I had finally managed to get an ADSL Internet connection and, after becoming unemployed, I had time on my hands and no money to buy books anymore. So one came to the other and I stumbeled over the nifty archive

, while I was searching for e-books that I could read.
I did not know BaenBooks or other sources of free e-books at that time, so I began to read out of curiosity and there I found 'The Foley Mashburn saga' by Brew Maxwell, a positiv and adventurous tale of the teenage years of a couple of kids and their coming of age.

This story made me wildly curios, and then I found 'A New Life' by the Eggman, a story of loss, of friendship and love, that destroyed me utterly. The old me, a creation, that helped me, to more effectively deceive myself, was shattered like a piece of medival armor, deep frozen and hit by a smith's forging hammer.

Today, November 9th, 2008, I am still struggling terribly with BurnOut syndrom. Hopefully I will be admitted soon to a sanatorium, that specialises in treating people with severe BurnOut syndrom, and people with suicidal tendencies. I am still on the dole ( something that irks me to no end ), but at least I know now,that I am no potential "dirty old man"!!! I am no MONSTER!!! I am GAY!!!!!
During the last 5 years I have gone to hell and I have come back. The deepest recessess of the human soul are certainly not a nice place to be in initially, but once the realisation dawns on you, how MUCH crap has been assembled there, by the way of religious indoctrination, you can't help it but do a thorough house cleaning! And I did just that.
I have not abandoned my standarts and believes where common decency and polite behavior are concerned. Sexuall mores a different story altogether though. My perception of the world is now governed by common sense and scientific thinking and nothing else.
My dear Strype. There is so many people like you and me ( thoughtwise at least ;-D ). The internet has proven to be a revolution on a scale even grander than many people want to believe. If we manage to keep access to the net free and connect the rest of the world ( speaking, the un- and under educated masses ) surely given enough time, once the standart of living has risen to a level were even the poor wont have to fear starvation anymore, people will at last realise, that it is more fruitfull to live and let live, and not hate your neighbor anymore? I know, their is still so many fanatical backwards oriented tribal people in the middle east for example, yet even muslims must eventually understand, that male to male love and sex is no sin.
It might take a couple centuries, but in the end they WILL come around! So much needless hate and contemptment can not last forever under the light of the scientific procedure, if we manage to make it shine in all the dark places. Access to western education is the key.
Wow. I wrote so much. I haven't written so much in a long time.....
