As my hopes wane and weaken, I seek out some sign or beacon
Of some place I surely would have missed, now living in pain and never in bliss.
You came down with heavens grace, and put your heart within this place.
You touched me deep and left your mark, a light side to my darkened heart
Then you turned and left again, rending my heart leaving it to mend.
The pain inside tore deep within, to this place you should never have been
Then at least I would be alone, and not with the thought of you and a home
All the years I’ve been secluded, and you came and made that diluted
Until you left and stole how i could cope, refilling it with nothing less hope.
Now here I sit, I do not dare, to leave this old rocking chair.
In hope of your godly return, so I can sleep and no longer yearn.
