Well, because of the coming election, I decided to publicly express my opinions publicly among friends. The status quo of the system and our society does suck. People do want change from it, but nether Obama nor McCain are going to change it for the better. The potential for better change will have to come first as a revolution of the mind. The mainstream culture will have to wake up, take responsibility for their individual well beginnings, being respectful of the well beings of others, and not accept anything less -no matter what. - The mainstream culture has to pay attention to the surroundings that effects each individual’s life and not relax the responsibility of their individual well beings to an outside party, whenever it’s politicians, groups, friends, their jobs, or even their belief in God or religion. People by nature have their own interests and well being as their priority. The wise ones want good for the well beings of others to support their own well being. But a lot of people are not wise to that. Yes, we may have to compromise to live among with others, but we must not sell out ourselves for the long term and become dependents, or we all become slaves and have to live with the knowledge of someone else getting to live well, have the money, get laid, and while suffering in deprivation because of power being surrendered to someone else in hope that person will take care of us, but takes that power for only that one’s well being, and the well being of that one’s circle of friends. It’s happened before, and will happen again until most of us wake up. I'll let you interpretate what political parties this refers to.
(Other then that, I'm still working on my big animation. I hope I'll have the whole thing finished instead of a compromised short version, but something will come out one way or another.)

A major - but potentially curable - problem is that after a hundred elections where one is almost always given the choice of the lesser of two evils, things get pretty ugly. The US voting system is rigged to guarantee a political duopoly; the last time a major party was replaced was in the 1850s when the Republicans replaced the Whigs.
There are other voting systems that better represent the electorate than what we have now. These different voting systems are used in many other countries. For example, in Denmark, one has the choice of the lesser of eight evils which is a substantial improvement over two evils.
Note that any of these new voting systems could be potentially adopted by citizen constitutional initiative in any of the states where such initiatives are possible. Congress has an approval rating of 12%, which is about half that of Bush's. If people knew how to break the Republicrat/Demopublican duopoly, I suspect that they would.
Take a look at this; it is a real eyeopener:

But yeah, too many people are voting for one person to change everything and do it properly when they COULD, at least in theory, band together and actually do something about it... but then again, that's why I don't vote. As of yet, I really don't have any problems with anything. But again, I'm canadian, so I really don't matter as far as this election goes. >.>
I'm voting third party, what about you?
Obama will probably not change too much, but that's probably much better than McCain, who will probably follow Bush's political and military course.
We'll see in November, when the first summit to the finance crises comes up.
Bet you, Bush will be against ANY global laws that would help to stop another financial crises from happening again.
And that's just one example for 'we have no mistakes, evewn if we have over 4500 dead soldiers in Iraque'. (Not a direct quote, mind you).
For peace of mine, by now I would gladly vote for the devil in my home country if he should choose to step up. I'm sick of having to choose between the lesser evils. The devil at least is honest about what he is and what he does. That's more than I can say about most politicans.
If I was to rise up, I'd form my own government called the Technocracy. Then deport all of the politicians to the Arctic, hire new politicians who will be 'screened' for worthiness, draft a new Constitution similar to the US Constitution (with laws to protect it from being changed or having any other amendments added to it), make sure that the only tax we take is from sales, nothing else, remove any sort of power from the mega-churches and keep them from having ANY influence over the Technocracy, release all restrictions on technological development, etc etc etc... :O
... I could go on forever! But lets just put it this way... it will be all gravy. :)
*Dreams some more* ~~D:
I would rather much vote for Obama since his intellect far exceeds McCain.
I WOULD of voted for Ron Paul or some other third party IF they showed promise of putting up one hell of a fight for the Office, but Obama is the only one who shows GREAT promise of winning the election and is also NOT Republican.
And I suppose your right, change can't start at the top, it has to happen on the personal level, so it's up to the citizens to start the momentum of difference.
sAS a side not, good to see your still around and animating, looking forward to it.
