A couple days ago, I asked out a girl I've known for two years and am great friends with. She's had a boyfriend…for 2 months. Seriously? I've hung out with her repeatedly in that time frame and not once has she mentioned this guy. Sure, looking back in hindsight it was completely obvious she had a boyfriend. But how was I supposed to know he had the exact same name as her twin brother? We text quite frequently, so I just assumed when she said "I'm having dinner with Alex" or "I'm out on a date with Alex" it was her brother. (The second one should have clued me in.)

She's never going to let me live this down. Ever. Urghhh…Women.
