Is it too long? I mean, the person i commished is one hell of an artist, and someone i respect, but still... Not wanting to bash either, and anyone who does as a result from my journal i will not take kindly to it, but has anyone else had time constraint issues from

I think that is just a little too long for my book. If I were you I would probably send him a little note (be polite in it) and simply state that you have been waiting this long patently and are just wondering what the delay is. I understand things come up sometimes with people but waiting nearly 5 months for a commission is waiting just a little too long for me.
