How do you draw belly stripes?

that's something I'm having a hell of a lot of trouble with, I'm thinking of getting rid of them on my sona but eghh....I like striated gator bellies x3
can anyone suggest something to make it look better? I don't really want to make it so that the stripes form individual bulges (i.e. having the stomach folds divided by the stripes)
Please help a fattygator!

What you have to do is just that, make it look as if they go around the belly. Something like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7837261/
If you want, I can see if I can find a better example. ^^;
You don't have to make them into individual bulges. It can just be there.
The bigger I drew the character, I drew the belly first, then drew the lines second.. When they are more closer to the back, they are closer together, and when they are closer to the belly fat, they are drawn farther apart.
Here's a bunch of pictures that show this:
-Not fat (for reference)

And while you shouldn't make each line a separate roll of fat, the fat parts should bulge slightly from the line itself, like the lines are little strings, and the fat is kinda overspilling them.
I hope this helps!
