Thank you. For the love of god, thank you. This is the first console Sonic game I've liked this much since I still thought I was straight. Also, your music department needs a week of free blowjobs. I know what you're thinking- even the ladies?

Oh, and, I wanted to blather about my commissions situation for a bit. Now, if you're on my waiting list, you're sure to note that I am taking half of forever to get to them. There's a number of reasons for this- strange transitions at my job have made my free time at work evaporate, I've been actually digging into games like Dark Souls in earnest (by the way, Namco-Bandai, give us our damn patch already), and I've just felt way more like drawing random porn and writing Partners.
That brings me to another point. My list is a Waiting List. It sounds like any other list of commissions, but there is an important difference: I only take on the commission when I'm ready for it. Of course, you don't pay until I've got something for you, so it's not a big ripoff machine, but all the same, I understand that's very inconvenient for people. At the same time, I just don't have any better system. If I'm not in the mode for commission work, it's gonna be sloppy and awful, and I absolutely won't be able to motivate myself to do it (or find the time for it) in any reasonable timeframe. It's the best thing I could come up with- yes, it's a big wait, but hey. These are tough times. Maybe you needed the time to talk yourself out of a purchase that would put you in a tight spot.

Yeah Capcom, keep churning out fighting games for quick cash; after RE: Operation Raccoon City I'm washing my hands of them until they show me they're worth my money again.

It's the first Sonic game I have truly enjoyed since the 2D games (though to be fair I have never played Unleashed and Colours). While I remember liking Adventure 1 as a kid, looking back it was a pretty dire experience.
I really should get it... =o shoulda got it instead of UMvC3... that game is so broken =,=

I was mostly dreading Generations out of fear that some things I really like will go away. I still fear that. But the product is too good to worry about that unless it actually happens.
I actually haven't played much modern Sonic since Shadow The Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes. So some of the 'modern' Sonic play mechanics are completely new to me. I have to say, I don't like that they replaced the Spindash with some generic instant boost power- or that you can't do ANY rolling really on the ground. Big fan of the SA2 control setup, really.
Anyway, the things I was worried about losing were the 3D, which it looks like I probably don't have to worry about... just perhaps regret some of the control changes. And a loss of other characters, which I may have a reason to worry about. This game's style makes it quite understandable to just go with Sonic (Though why not Sonic & Tails like Sonic 2 is beyond me) but combine it with the gibberish people are always spouting and it is worrisome.

Still though, having heard the music and watched videos, I'm freaking stoked. :D It'll be a long while before I can afford it, though. ;o;
