Getting married. Why do so many people see it as the final step in life? Game Over, as many T-shirts will say?
Why does it have to be an end. Sure you might have one person you'll be with for the rest of your life. But it doesn't end anything. All those things you'd have done with strangers previously you can now do with the person you've married.
You've got a partner in crime, in life. Someone to be there for you and you to be there for. Someone to know your limits, your desires, your wishes. They aren't your ball n' chain, they are your enabler. They are there to do things with and to do things for. Sure you may give up experiencing so many strangers in those ways but your giving up such random chance for someone so amazing.
Its not game over, its just the end of round 1. Start Round 2 and fight with them for your happiness. Together you make everything great, your a team. And in a team match you have to use the strengths of your partner to win, don't be afraid to take out and let them take a turn either. Neither of you are the leader or submissive. Your equal partners in this relationship and should provide equal love.
This is how I view love and marriage. I can't be the only person who sees marriage as nothing but a beginning. Or maybe
ashleyfableblack is just the amazing of a girl, if so I think I need to get her something to show it. Any suggestions?

You're right, marriage is the beginning of a new journey - life, as usual, but with a special person connected to you now. Screw them lunkheads who think it's game over, it's only game over if you've got an awfully sour-puss attitude torward relationships, and why would someone marry with a view like that anyway? :p
as for what to get Ashley, I'm not sure. what I do know is that you already give her lots of love, honestly and respect and I think that alone makes you a marvelous fella. ^^ But you can never love too much!
