10 years later, it still hits us hard.

Many other disasters that happened in the world only had a lasting mental impact for just a few years after. Only a few exceptions to this in the U.S., pearl harbor, and the loss of the 3 world trade center buildings. Who, in the US, besides those too young, can say they don't remember what happened just 10 years ago? The memory of those two towers coming down is burned into my memory and will never fade. Those that died in that disaster, may they rest in peace, and may their families have some peace in the fact, it was more likely than not a quick death for their loved ones.
