On leading a triple life

Due to recent events, I thought back over all the names I've used online. Here's a short list.
-D'nel the ex-Mage: What was I thinking? I was 16. I was REALLY into the Dragonriders of Pern. This was my first online name, used on dragon RP boards and (eventually only) the writing community I stumbled across via Nintendo's BBInsider forums. I think that's what they were called. As a character, he was pretty much what you'd expect from a dragon-obsessed 16-year-old.
-Take Walker: Oh hey, I still use this name! :D But once, I actually went by the full name Doesn't-Take-Sides. Yeah, I don't really keep that one around anymore. (God, don't ask about "Doesn't-Take-Sides the N64Philodox".) That was mostly on Whitewolf RP boards. I'm so glad I don't RP anymore. I use Take pretty much everywhere nowadays.
-fnfnfnfnfn: lol, I just thought of this. My YTMND account! I wanted something suitably trolly/4channish.
-TL333s: This is my super-secret name. I use it for forums that I need an account on (the Escapist comes to mind), where I don't plan on posting much and don't want things linked back to my furry name. The only time I used it as a main identity was after returning to the Ohio DDR board after ragequitting. :B
-My real name: Some of you might know it. It's very uncommon (despite the fact that I'm named after my dad), so I prefer not to use it, since anything I do under it can easily be traced back to me/my family. It is, however, an online name, because Facebook.
-Present Perfect: I feel like I'm missing a few between this and the last one. c.c Well, anyway, this is my newest one, used for pony stuff, including self-insert fanfics, lol. Based off linguistics/writing/perfectionism. I actually split myself into three ponies when trying to decide on a personal character; Present represents my neurotic side and has become my primary name. There's also Center Stage, which I've yet to use as an actual handle online, but I plan to once I can record decent videos of me playing music. :3 He represents my attention-whoring side and is a rock star (pics to come).

To address the title of this journal directly, I am currently living a triple life online, and it's weird. I don't mind talking about RL or pony stuff here, because y'all don't give a damn and I'm comfortable in the furry community. I also feel, perhaps wrongly so, that this is a fairly private site and so my info isn't about to leak out into general Google searches or whatnot. I mean, it would be easy to link my real name to this account, but it would take some serious searching. I think I'm doing pretty well at keeping the two separate.
What's harder is keeping the furry stuff out of the pony stuff. Bronies, from what I've seen, hate furries. Or at least, a sizable chunk of them are willing to cause massive drama if anypony outs themselves as furry. So I am walking on fucking eggshells around Ponychan and all the other sites, trying my best not to even mention anything that might link me back to this name. This gets harder on DeviantArt, where I'm using the TakeWalker name and commenting on various pony-related things. The goal there is just to keep TakeWalker and PresentPerfect separate. I'm doing okay so far, but it's hard.
The funny thing is, brony fandom is supposed to be all about love and friendship and tolerance, but I'm so used to furries being on the ass-end of the social ladder that this never struck me as hypocritical until some random brony pointed it out. So yes, it does bother me, and it makes life difficult, but I sally forth.
And of course, I keep both of those separate from my RL stuff. I have a few furries friended on Facebook, but they're more or less discreet enough that no one would ever think twice about the connection. I have ONE pony-related thing (Daniel Ingram, the composer; more on him later) friended. Again, would require some digging. But the fact is, I would rather come out as a brony than a furry to my RL people. D: What does that say?
So, yes. Triple life. Always exciting. :V

I totally understand about the triple life thing. Been doing a quadruple life thing for awhile now... Hiding stuff is no fun but you get used to it.
I dare you to watch one episode. Just one.
I can also understand about the "multiple life" thing, although I'm not sure if it goes as high as three or four for me.
Wow. That's... really surprising. I mean, no offense meant, but I'm frankly getting to the point where I find the fact that so many grown guys are so into a little girls' cartoon show and its characters almost as creepy/weird as some of the aspects of the furry fandom -- so this kind of strikes me as a pot and kettle thing. 9_9 I'm guessing they're probably so oversensitive about themselves that they need somebody below them to make fun of to feel better.
The funny thing is, brony fandom is supposed to be all about love and friendship and tolerance,
Of people like oneself (much the same way that the furry fandom is supposed to be about diversity).
The kind of online life you're keeping up would be exhausting to me, but it looks like you're handling it. >^_^<
The brony fandom is a little better at hiding the sexual aspects, I think (well, I mean, I guess; I know it's there, but I don't really know where to find it, so success c.c), which is what seems to be most people's problem with furries. Well, that and the "I AM FURRY EVERYTHING MUST BE FURRY YOU WILL ACCEPT", but it's not like they don't do that either.
I dunno, people are dumb and the internet makes you stupid.
