they literally rip everything (download everything)

Yep.. we was fighting against that spider programs for months, cuz each update, the server got really busy ...like these programs detect any new update and start ripping the whole site... but this latest event is in fact a real intentional attack.. and great success for them.. heh

Well that what post hackers do. The point of hacking is to steal infomation. Hmm spider program. Sound like time to bring out the bug spray.

hackers are mostly into stealing personal information... and they usually never care about normal site content.
re-vendors in the other hand.. (like these who have created furry paysites that have like.. all the FA content..) use these spidertools to get everything in one go..
and resell your content.

I am so sorry to hear of the problem. There's a special place in hell for hackers. This is one of the main reasons why I don't host on my own server, but have a professionally paid site to host my content. However, when dealing with porn material, you tend to find yourself greatly limited to providers willing to take on the legal ramifications of hosting said material. Good Luck and I hope you find a better and stronger method of hosting your material.

I fear the reason for such attacks are people who deem the content of palcomix and similar sides moraly wrong. It wouldn't surprise me. Other sites are constantly facing probplems with those people. Some of them with the knowledge could be behind this attack too.

Apparently the inkbunny site is also down for maintenance...

According to their twitter, inkbunny is down because theyy are switching the server.

That makes sense, it just seemed way too coincidental since it went down roughly the same time.

I pity website/account hackers. They had the potential to be talented and useful but instead decided waste their life hacking websites and accounts for nothing more than short-lasting pleasure.

This is terrible, but we can all help. I am not very computer savvy, but I have been combing the Internet for anything that may be helpful. And I've got a couple friends at my house trying to help. I found and downloaded this to my iPhone: http://iphone.aruljohn.com/ .
It may work on your PC. There are definitely similar things for PC's.
You can all help if you want, there are ways to catch these scum.
Here's what I have so far;
1) There are dozens of sites who frequently hack Palcomix and it's affiliates and pay sites to steal art and passwords. There are also sites who hate Palcomix, and although I haven't found proof positive on them yet, I wouldn't put it past them.
2) The Turkish Hacker AKA, Brunei. I found this person claiming to have hacked Palcomix recently. I did some research and found out the "Turkish Hacker" hacks almost anything, see here: http://www.google.com/m/search?aq=f&oq=&aqi=g1-k0d0t0&fkt=1492&fsdt=10064&cqt=&rst=&htf=&his=&maction=&q=turkish+hacker+brunei&flip=0

This person has been doing this for years, and leaves a tag, basically it's the name, a Turkish flag, and some reference about your sites security being no good.
This person is a professional, and I have no clue who they are.
They leave this as "contact info" : brunei[at]w.cn

3) The government, religions? I have no proof of this, but if you decide to help search, don't discount them. You'ed be surprised...

Finally, I found several sites that have tons of domain data on Palcomix, more than enough for a hacker to use. Including where the servers are.

All I'm saying is, if you go online and start hunting, you never know what you'll find, but a lot of hackers love to brag. Some leave an unintentional bread crumb trail.
I have found at least one person using the same username as a current pal forum member frequenting sites that "pirate" art and passcodes, and asking for such things.
Since there's no way I could ever be "sure" it's the same person, I won't report it as fact.
All I'm saying is, if you dig, you get dirt. Turn over what you get to Marybell, bbmbbf, etc... And maybe they can use it.
These people are people, and we can fight them, and we can win!
There's got to be pal supporters who know just as much about computers as the hackers.
Let's rise up and burry these S.o.b's!

And, just a theory, because i know of others thinking this, what if they're hacking because you make some of your best work pay only? I mean, they managed to post your Guilmon and Lucario comic thing up on another site, and most of what they upload is pay only, so perhaps their targeting those specifically? Maybe strengthen your firewalls in the paysites? Eventually they'll give up, i think.

They're just like trolls in a forum, they are usually in it for the reactions and lols they get.

The real danger is imo the mentallity of some of these people. Everything which is available in the net should be free. This is the most disturbing thing. Many who like the artwork wan't it, but thay are not ready to pay for it. Sure I cannot access the pay content of palcomix but that has to do, that I don't own a credit card and Paypal don't support adult sites. So I stick with the free content (which is plenty enough in my opinion)

Those hackers can go fucking kills themselves, the deliberate attacks! I think that the server stress was mostly unintended, but massive spam and DDOS-style hits definitely AREN'T.

Were are those times when hackers had honor and didn't damaged hardware or data?!

Those people how do such horrible things, with their computer-skills, should burn in hell!!!
