A hawk (noticeable, commanding, dominent.) Remember that its hinted there is much more to him, aswell as he always does his own thing, is a good scrapper, and he knows just what to do.

These are all good suggestions! And you are right about Shepherd, I never thought of it that way, but I think hawk or eagle would work well. :)

Oh and to get more people...perhaps getting some simple furry comics based on firefly (scenes you love, redone and thus not breaking copyright)

If I had some damn time and open request slots (I still gotta finish a few and college is back up) I'd gladly try to do cast pictures fer everyone in a furry form if we can all decide on animals... though jayne... jaaayne... what can jayne be?
