A full-colored image from you should have a base of no less than 40 dollars per character, in my opinion. More if you see fit. I know I'd pay that much.

Bust shots, like you've been drawing lately; 40-60 based on complexity
Full body; 50-75 + 10/20 per extra character, +$ increasing on complexity/size of image.
Then just work backwards for other pricing.

La verdad es que tu dibujas muy bien y muy profesional, asi que la verdad si ocuparias cobrar un poco mas de lo que otros cobran. pero si entiendo tu punto de ser accesible. asi que yo opino que 5 a 7 dolares por un icono. 10-15 dolares por sketch. 20-30 dolares por algo a color sencillo con un personaje, logicamente mas por personaje extra o con fondos detallados. Ya cosas como wallpapers y pinturas complejas y con todo el detalle que se que le pones.. pues irian desde minimo 50 dolares por un personaje y fondo detallado.. hasta 100 dolares o mas dependiendo que tan complejo sea el dibujo. Por ejemplo el que hiciste de Birthright super detallado con la pintura en la pared, con el papel tapiz, velas, luces, etc... (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3903735/) yo diria... que minimo 150 dolares... de ahi para arriba.

Se que a lo mejor no se te hace bien cobrar tanto, pero realmente tu habilidad y diseños lo valen ^^

You know, I was JUST talking to  munyequito about commissioning you. lol. I dont think I can comment on this topic though. I can say what I'd LIKE it to be and what I can afford. But whether that is fair or not is really up to you. So, Ill wait and see what unfolds.

Well to keep from ripped off again I suggest asking for the money upfront.

You should probably look around at other artists of your quality so as not to undercut yourself. Anything we say might be unconsciously or consciously trying to get you to settle on a lower price for your work.

Also if you are looking to get back into commissions, you should establish rules and restrictions so as not to get into a lot of trouble whether it be in receiving payment, when to show progress sketches, who has the rights to post, copyright rights (which should be yours anyways), what you can and cannot accept, etc., etc. You don't want to get ripped off nor do you want to rip off your customer so...some rules should be set before hand. :3

As for pricing maybe something along the lines of....

Icons- $5-8 to up to $15 dependent on complexity.
Sketches-$15-25 dependent on complexity
Inks-$25-40 dependent on complexity or if there are more than one character
Colored work- $40 (for one character with no background), $55-60 for one character with a simple background, $60-$100+ if you are talking about more than one character and a complex background. (ie three characters in a cityscape having a rough butt sex).

Don't take my word nor anyone else's as written in stone. Ultimately deciding on pricing and policy is up to you.

Well, one good way to think of it is how much of your time is worth what amount of money. Like say a piece takes you three hours to complete, how much money do you feel you should be making per hour for that amount of work. Otherwise your art is top notch and you can easily make a good profit from it

base $40...maybe +10 per character, a little more on the base if a character is incredibly complex and for an added BG I would say...add another 10-20 (depending on complexity)

so for a full blown 2 char pic with bg and all...from you I would def. pay ~60-80

I know there are great artists who charge more than that...but I think looking at today's economy if you really want business and to make it more fair for those who

don't have thousands to spend on commissions, plus artists who charge a huge amount, from what I see, tend to get a lot less people wanting a pic done due to the lack of money most of us face.

Charge by the hour slightly more than what you would expect to make at a job of your choice. Then figure how long you thin it would take you to do a picture for some at your good rate and figure prices based on that...Say it takes you 4 hours to do a full color piece of respectable quality in your eyes, and a good paying job for you is 20$ an hour, that would be 80$ for a full color? If it takes you days to do a piece you can't use that method but yea XD

Also 90% of the prices given to you are way to low imo. It might just be better to discuss prices with each customer based on what they want :3

Well, seeing as I've seen my friends charge hella high for their artwork, and they're good in their own right, the amount of work/detail you put into something. I could see you charging 50-60$US base for a really good "pin-up" style print. With or without background.

I'd be willing to pay any amount of Money for your work because it's THAT amazing.
I agree with others here when they say your prices should be high (A dismay to poor folk such as myself but whatever)

It's pretty hard to tell because we don't know how much you can deliver (number of characters and all). You can put the price pretty high since I know you would have a lot of commissions XD (Yes if there's a lot of commissioner the price need to be higher just check what the others does, they lower the price if they don't have comm)

I would say between $15 - $40 from pencil to colour.
Raise the prices depending upon the complexity of the art (like say the dude has a body tattoo = high price). Add +$5 for additional character. You earn more by offering something that is so affordable.

How long does it take for you to produce a full color picture? full line art in pencil? and sketches? (samples?) It does amaze me that artists do work on commissions at rates less than anything reasonable (like, some would spend 6-8 hours on a $60 full color or something).

I'd say the pricing should depend more on if you actually need the money then anything else. If not, then make people happy and don't charge a whole lot. If you do need it, ask for more since it's to help support you.

Good advertising would be to give a few frees ones. *Waits hopefully.*

Also, limiting how many you do would be a good idea too so you don't overwork or put pressure on yourself and end up going "@_@ OH NOES WHAT THE F- IM SO BEHIND ON MY WORK QQ" If you want to limit it but not define a limit than charge more. Higher costs prevent people from buying it. (Any cost in my case. -_-;;
