DrawingSo after years of being pretty much on a drawing hiatus, feeling as though my minor drawing abilities had left me permanently, I picked up a pencil, feeling creative and drew a rather detailed, surprised me, very happy with, reference picture of my fursona.
Mind you, I've never actually sat down and drawn out her specific details.
The drawing I made, oh, so long ago that I am using as my display picture was something I finally touched up a little recently to have something up as my avatar.
So, for the first time in ages, I not only drew something, but something I feel rather proud to have drawn and was willing to draw more, I find, as I tried to scan this 'masterpiece', the scanner my family owns is hooked up to my father's computer. So all I have to do is go into the next room and scan it.
-Unfortunately-, as I go to hit the scan button, I get an error. It says something along the lines of software needs to be updated, insert software disk and update installations. To a degree, I was starting to see red when I hit the scan button for the upteenth time and got the same malfunction.
So here I sit, a wonderful piece of paper in front of me and I can't share it with all my furry friends. Nor would I be able to scan anything else I draw which, makes me -very- sad.
Trying very hard not to let my temper get the best of me.
My Mate just attempted to calm me down. When he visits me this Sunday he will take a look at it... Hopefully he can do something about it, though I have no hope for it. This isn't the first time its pulled a 'surprise, you fail' attack on me.
If all else fails, I will either try to convince my parents to buy a new scanner, buy one myself (which will leave me more poor than I already am, especially after Fanime) or see if the fail scanner at work is any better.
I think I just typed out all my rage, now I just have a headache and I might go read or something.
Thanks for letting me vent, FA. ilu.
Until Next Time,
