Moonlit Fangs, Chapter Three Out!

Wow... that took a lot longer than I thought it would, haha. I got hit over and over by projects for college. First a Final for my block 7 class on American Foreign Policy and now a Final for my Block 8 class, Introduction to International Relations. You know, all this studying isn't good for the creative process... it's just plain hard. But anyway... chapter 3!
This chapter marks a significant change in the story as I dump the narrative on Alden and switch to his brother, Fenrus (yes, I did name my myself after my character). Essentially, the past two chapters have been a setup to this moment, when a boy, barely 18 years old, has his life transformed in an event of proportions so disastrous, the shock waves will reverberate for the rest of the story. This is the turning point in the story, the hinge, where things really take off. And God does it feel good to get it out.
Now, again people are asking me... where are the werewolves? I thought this was about people transforming into savage and powerful creatures of the night. Well, it is. And if you read the whole thing, you'll know that something is up, that Fenrus's life is no longer his own. The Frostfang Wolves disappeared from the Gilrainian world nearly two hundred years ago. Nobody thought they would ever reappear again. But they will, and in a form and strength that nobody could have ever predicted.
This isn't a story about good versus evil. This is a story about those trapped between the battle raging between good and evil. It's about those trapped in the gray area and how they became confined to that space. They are slaves and tools for the will of others and Fenrus is just starting down his path. Looking forward, Moonlit Fangs is going to get darker and more disturbing. The advisory ratings will go up and people will die. Telaria isn't a walk in the park. And looking forward... Alden is about to find out, like this brother did, that life is full of pain.
