If you want to start out with Santa Muerte, you can go to a local botanica/yerberia/brujeria to find a santa muerte statue or candle. The people in the shop can give you information about Santa Muerte like how you should wash your statues with salt water and give her offerings. You should also talk to Santisima Muerte and tell her why you want to work with her and start venerating her, not just start asking her for stuff right off the bat. She's not a genie, she's not your slave. This isn't a master and servant relationship, it needs to be mutual respect. Give her water and food that needs to be replaced daily, do not let food sit there for days on end rotting and getting dirty. She doesn't like that and it's disrespectful and lazy. You just need to treat her like you would with any deity or god and that's it.
