Well, everyone…
Today marks exactly one year since I reset my platform from “Shizukathefox” to “Masha Alibek.” I wanted to take a moment to explain the timeline of why I made that decision and what happened afterward.
On March 6th, 2025, I officially ended my Shizukathefox era. There were several reasons for this, including a loss of motivation to continue using Shizuka Ryusu the Scene Fox as my main fursona/OC, as well as the bad reputation that began to surround the name due to unwanted content and people claiming negative things about me online. The stress from that hate, combined with my declining motivation, ultimately pushed me to discontinue the Shizukathefox identity entirely so I could give my platform a fresh start.
The new main sona for my platform became Masha Alibek, who many of you already know. Masha represents my main persona/self-insert as a kitsunemimi, as well as my main fursona/truesona as a scene fox. She is essentially a shapeshifter who can transform into her fox form, whether in an anthro form or a feral form. The character was also inspired by Sophia the Nekomimi (SophTheNeko) and Chiima the Scene Fox (Coffaefox).
Later on, I rebranded my platform again — this time from “xXMashaAlibekXx” to “xXSixtailXx” on November 1st, 2025. This change was heavily inspired by Sixwing (formerly Salv the Dog). Their album My Teeth Will Free You resonated deeply with me and my life. Interestingly, Masha’s six-tailed form and spiritual counterpart is Sixtail Masha, the six-tailed fox version of Masha within the Kitsune Cycle, which is my own interpretation inspired by Sixwing’s Seraph Cycle.
Even though the Shizukathefox era had ended, I still had plans to create a wide variety of content. I continued drawing my OCs and sharing things that inspire me. I take a lot of influence from the furry, anime, scene/emo, multifandom, animation meme, and art communities, which is why most of my posts today consist of my own artwork along with reposts of things I enjoy.
Unfortunately, while I was using the Masha Alibek identity, many of the same issues from the Shizukathefox era continued to appear — such as haters, harassment, requests, and callouts. However, I’ve matured since then and have learned how to handle these situations better. Some people still bring up my Shizukathefox phase, even though that era is no longer relevant to who I am now. That being said, I’m still completely fine with fan art of Shizuka and my other OCs!
Regardless of everything that has happened, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey — especially my closest fans and friends. Over the past year, I’ve reset my platform twice: first in March 2025 as “xXMashaAlibekXx,” and again in November 2025 as “xXSixtailXx.” Seeing how much my platform has evolved since then means a lot to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support I’ve received along the way.
I’m also really happy to have made new friends through communities centered around my current hyperfixations, especially Newgrounds and SEGA!
I didn’t have any big plans for a one-year anniversary celebration for this platform reset, which is why I decided to celebrate with a post instead of a video or a document. And sorry for the long read — I just enjoy writing detailed posts like this sometimes, haha.
And one last thing: if you weren’t around during my Shizukathefox era, that’s totally okay! I still appreciate and respect all the new fans who have joined along the way. I know what it feels like to arrive late to something you wish you had experienced earlier. 😊
