reasonable response. definitely should give credit to the original author. after that, this may be a good first step to getting people interested in trying to create art themself. so long as they don't stick to tracing alone, more learning will follow.
Better to copy it without tracing, a "Master Study". After drawing most of it by eye, THEN overlay the art on top to see where you didn't copy exactly correctly.
And Then... what is your main goal of the Master Study anyways? Have a goal before copying/tracing someone's art.
Doing it for fame will just backfire.
idk if someone struggles to draw something right and they trace me to get the shape correct that means there's one more good picture in the world and that's a positive.
Just make sure you do give credit and such.
If I ever upload anything that involves tracing though, I'd be sure to give credit (:3c
to all reading this, wishing you well :)

Eyeball the art, draw it as closely as you can, overlay the original and identify what you need to improve. Repeat.
Its kinda like tracing but instead your taking time to understand and improve your cognition when drawing.
