Officially Closing Commissions! (I got hired!)

General
I got two jobs! 🎉 One as a crew member for McDonald's and o
ne as a sales associate for Dollar Tree. I should be starting next week or the week after 2/16/2026-2/22/2026.
This means my commissions, after 17 years, are officially 🚫closed🚫.
It's been a long run freelancing. And I loved it for a long time. But I am miserable with art right now.
On top of financial stress, I find no joy in my work because of the amount of years I've just been tirelessly pumping out art.
This does NOT mean my queue will be unfinished. Quite the opposite.
With my commissions officially closed for the foreseeable future (
outside of maybe just fun sketches or something once I get my queue down),
I'm going to focus on completing my owed work on my off days.
I might only be able to do one piece or a handful of sketches when I'm not working,
but I do intend to finish my queue as best I can.
Once my debt is down a bit and I have a steady income,
I might refund things I find too difficult to complete.
It will take me a while to do so because of my debt and bills. But I can probably eventually do so.
That being said, wish me luck on these endeavors. It'll be no small task to work 60-70hr weeks,
but it's something I need to do for the future I have planned for myself.
I just hope I can be a good employee and I'll be able to do my jobs asked of me.
I'm sure there's a small learning curve for the first few days until I get the hang of it.
At least I hope so. I'll be in touch with people as soon as I can with art.
I probably won't be as active socially, but just know I'm working hard and trying my best to get my life back together.
I can't wait to finish my queue and find time to draw for myself in the future.
I hope I'll eventually find my love for art again when I'm not drowning in a sea of debt from trauma and misfortunes.
I love you all. I appreciate all your support, generosity and kindness over the years.
This is certainly not a goodbye, this is merely a "see you guys soon".
I'll be in touch with commissions and wips with people as soon as I can.
Best wishes to everyone! Stay safe, take care of yourself and be gentle to your brain.

Looking forward to commissioning you again in the future if you ever open commissioning again!
You got this!
Look at you not giving up!!
Remember if you need to have a break, it's normal! Work and forced face to face socialization is exhausting, so don't push yourself a ton with work! You've got this!!
